[UI] Sell all button

  1. Ok so I was playing darkorbit and selling resources there at base all casual and stuff. Then I realized it would be a million times more convenient if I could have the option to sell all my resources at the same time instead of clicking each sell button hoping the 1st click was enough. Now i know there is some of you out there that like to keep your resources and thats fine. All im asking is to put a small sell all button for us people on the go, grinding are little hearts away.

    What do you think ? If this has been suggested before im sorry lol

  2. You want dev time to be developed into taking 3 less seconds to sell ore..? Hell if we're gonna do that let's have it for inventory, i've got a couple hundred level 1 pet gears waiting...
     
  3. Hey it could be for that as well, that's not a bad idea. But really a sell all button wouldn't be that hard to write out. Remember this isn't a new ship or drone design thats constantly floating and spinning or whatever it was intended to do. Heck I would right the code if I given the chance.

    Not sure if this design is actually needed. Most players use one of the following methods to sell cargo which takes no time at all.

    1. Old players who bought unlimited trade drone. Using this takes a total of 6 clicks.
    2. Using PET to sell. This takes approximately a total of 4 clicks.
    3. Log off switch hanger to ship that is stationed on 3.1 and then sell cargo. (If you don't have one of the above 2) Takes approx 11 clicks.

    So, to make my life easier your sell all ore option would have to be on the main player interface and work on a 2 click parameter. One to bring up menu, one to sell all - with the menu then automatically closing after sale. Could be used by people at Base or by people with trade drone.
     
  5. That is a small thing but many small thing make a big thing so I say yes. If someone is having a bad day then selling ore can be frustrating when you would want to get everything done as easily as possible. If you have to click many times to sell that and sell that when you could have done it with one click instead...
     
  6. Thanks for the response guys. Again this is an idea and any input is much appreciated even if its constructive. This is how I see it. The people that are constantly selling ore are probably the lower level players that love to build credits off of anything. So they would benefit the most from this. Also lets say you just topped off your cargo bay from a few cube cargo's or whatever your farming. Your going to base to sell and boooom.. UFE uncloaks on you and you don't have enough time to click sell 3-6 times depending on how your selling. We all know UFE can melt your ship in a couple of seconds if your not equipped for a attack. By having a sell all button, it would give these players a chance to sell their hard earned ore before the enemy pops them and takes a chunk out of you. The only thing that hurts this idea is that it does seem to be a small fix and I can understand how people think its silly to make DO focus on a little button. But guys some of the smallest implementations make a big difference even if it doesn't benefit you. I guess the real question here is how often do you sell ore and how many times have you lost your cargo because you didn't have enough time to click on each sell button.

    Here is something else I just thought of. Should the sell all button be applied to the unlimited trade drone only or should it be available in all 3 options of selling ore?
    It was mentioned above that a 2 click parameter on the main player UI would be a more reasonable solution. I agree lets roll this out to make as few clicks as possible because everybody loves when something is convenient
