[UI] Server Merge

I've been a Darkorbit player since 2009, and have around 600 hours logged, which isn't a lot compared to some players, but I spent most of free time in middle school and the early half of high school playing this game. I stopped halfway through high school and have recently returned towards the end of January, 2016. My main account is on USA East 1, and as much as I love the game i find it boring to play now simply because there is no one online anymore. The only people that really play still are UFE guys and wallet warriors who drop hundreds a month on the game. I created a new account and got placed in USA West 1, which seemed more lively but according to players there that server is also dying. I hear that Global America 1 is very active and was thinking about creating an account there, but I honestly don't want to have to start all over, given the fact that it will take a lot of time and money to catch up. I've heard the idea of a Server Merge but haven't seen a thread on it yet. I want to call attention to the idea, because I believe it will be the smartest move for Bigpoint if they want to save the game. I really don't see how my server can bounce back, and honestly I do not think it ever will. I really would like some serious conversation in this thread because this game is dying, and I simply do not want to keep on playing and buffing my account just so I can become UFE and have no one to play with. I'm not sure about all the technicalities that come with attempting a server merge, but I know it has been done in other games and I really do not see why it would be unwise to try to merge dead servers and increase competition and activity.

 

Are you sure? Also, next time use a proper "prefix" for the thread. Like suggestion, not announcement.

 

There is an ongoing thread in the idea and update about sever merges you only need to look for it (it is not hard to find) , you have also made a poll so don't be surprised if the thread you have started gets deleted as poll's are not allowed in this section.

 

I would agree with a server merge but, do would need to sort new ranking system out because some players trying for certain ranks will be once again infuriated to see there rank drop, because of another server being merged, I think a new ranking system would need to be looked at maybe a fixed ranking system.

 

Do not use the prefix, "Announcement" as that makes it seem like this is something that is gonna be implemented into the game..

Also the discussion on server merging has been something that the Dev team has already mentioned they are looking into.
