[UI] Shared Boosters ? NERF NOW

  1. So you introduced a new feature for the shared boosters.... sigh. -.- So now everyone in your group irrelevant of company gives you the boost no matter where they are in the map. Okay, so lets break down this new update for you guys out there not really getting this as an issue. So, me and my mate play on GA1, we are a duo, plain and simple no other friends, we fight in a group of two 100% of the time. On Global America when we fight we are almost always outnumbered, usually not an issue, we are skilled enough to fly and drag and separate players. But now you're telling me that an outfit of lets say 5, could be roaming around with shield boosters of 100% all the time. It was hard enough before to fight outnumbered by now, the numbers mathematically put us at a SIGNIFICANT disadvantage. Skill is irrelevant. You put a flaxed bigboy on the port with shared boosters and it changes the dynamics of the game! Lets move on.. 1v1. Oh boy, how unfair will they be now. Whats to say that a player you are fighting in 4-4 isn't in a full group of players receiving with MASSIVE boosts. Its just a joke. This new shared booster formula is a joke. I played this game because even in just a duo me and my friend could still hold our own on one of the biggest servers. Now you ask? Whats the point, even if our skill level surpasses that of our enemies, pure numbers and mathematics makes our fight next to impossible. I'm over the game now, you keep pushing me away. No way im fighting with the boosters as they are. I won't play again until its nerfed, and if it never is. Then I guess I will say goodbye.

    At first I didn't thought it was that bad, in fact, constantly having to be close to others to receive the shared boost just made it a waste, especially with hp and shields which have to be reloaded first. So I was big fan of this update but now I do understand the problem: it is not just one guy that provides others with a small shared boost, but everyone! And that also means that everyone gets an additional boosts. So it is not just +5%, but +5% x 7... all of that adds up quickly.

    Just remove shared boosts all together darkorbit! Or only make them count for NPC's.

    Just to add to the topic: Shared boosters have not been changed in forever as in the actual balance of them were never known that well until now... What do I mean by that? People never really knew the effects of having so much shared boosters before because you had to be very close to each other to benefit from them. Though now that they have been changed like this? Hm yeah, the actual balance of them should be obvious.

    I would suggest the maximum percentage amount you can get off others shared boosters needs significantly reduced*, if really want shared boosters to work like this now**. Cause otherwise yeah, the "strength in numbers" saying is totally way out of hand here. As in if you are solo against a group of people(or just outnumbered by a bit) trying to harass them, good luck now if they are totally stacked on shared boosters. So in short this change has just made the dominant clans stronger and other people weaker(also now your group absolutely needs to have shared boosters if the other enemy group has).

    Of course due to shared boosters working if you are in the same gate as other outfit members, I can see that making EP/honor that get from gates getting out of hand(also effects how quick can do gates). Goes without saying this will make the hades situation worse(since can more easily get players with shared boosters due to don't need to be same company) and people who are solo(or haven't got a dedicated group) will just be at a even more disadvantage if they want to go after ranks/top user, compared to players who do have dedicated groups/always can have a group.


    *I would say as low as can only get a maximum of 10% from other players shared boosters, you may think that is too low but if it is high then it will create imbalance. The booster change to how it is now is definitely better but it has also made it obvious how unbalanced the shared boosters really were. If anything I'd suggest the shared boosters percent get from other players only work in say hard group gates if make such gates in the future, to entice people to buy shared boosters for them(and maybe dmg shared booster as in the benefit get off other peoples shared booster only works on aliens but of course it shouldn't work in solo gates. as in don't benefit from an outfit members shared booster).

    **Though the being very close to eachother kinda made shared boosters pointless(if got for the sole purpose to stack percent from other players with shared booster) or at least impractical to take advantage of most of the time(like say incase all ran into ddm mines...). So ideally the answer to this isn't to just change them back to how they were cause when they were that way they weren't really took advantage of or that useful.

  4. Well there is already a shared booster cap, only 8 people are allowed in your outfit so it can't get passed that amount.

    I actually like this update because it promotes group fighting instead of pointless 1v1s, the game was never designed for 1v1s and by allowing us to share boosters no matter the map or company actually encourages more fighting.

    I agree that shared boosters must be nerfed. 8 outfit members is maximum yes. But that makes a 35% more damage. So even if all group is using RING formation. They still shoot more than you without group. Damage output is just becoming Inappropriate now.

    Where is the HP. And tanks to tank this. Citadel will become obsolete now.

    Aegis and that Hammerclaw healing will do nothing against this.

    Everything against this is just like bug now. 1 round of ammo and you dead.

    The only ship with some survivability is Spectrum. Or if you lucky to run away is Tartarus. The rest are crap now.

    Need major overhaul in HPs of all ships. and shared boosters too.
