  1. My idea here is for the upgrades on the shields and engine should be like pet fuel usage when using the pet it consumes pet fuel right. The upgrades should be paused when you log off the flight screen.

Example: You put on 100 minutes of upgrades you only play for 50 minute when you come back you should have 50 minutes remaining.

  2. Well...we actually have something like this. We like to call it boosters. It does not apply to engines but have some for shields. Engines don't get upgraded, nor does it get a booster. Shields get both. However, they also get a boost when you put ore on them. This boost runs in real time and to be real, if you put 144 on each, your set for the day. I put 1500 on each a week and call it good. Never run out, set a schedule just for putting ore on each week.

If what I said did not apply, I would be all about your idea. :)

  3. I make sure that I have 50 of each on my ship at all times, that way I just put 5 of each on every 50 minutes. When after a good session I might use only 20 of each, so before I log out I send 20 of each to top them up to 50. This way I never run out and I don't waste large amounts of sep when I am offline. The sep that I save by doing this can be put to better use.

  4. To each, their own. I don't want to think about how much time I have left. I play at various times but have a set transfer time and a weekly gen schedule. 1500 is just a drop in the hat anyways.

  5. That is fair enough, I just don't understand how people can waste all that sep when it could be used on lazers and rockets. But that's just me.

  6. For most of us, by the time we get around to sending ore again, the storage in the Skylab is already full, so it's technically a waste xD
The time its full is time the Lab isn't producing xD

And on top of that, I don't like waiting like what, 10 mins, for 50 prom & 50 sep; I wanna log in and BAM, in the action! xD

  7. If you work it out correctly, and it is not hard to do, you can send sep as it gets full. Also like I told you before you can send your sep and put the full amount on your lazers less 50 for your gens, so you don't have to wait like 10 minutes. Then as your sep is filling up in your skylab you can send another 50 as you are using the 50 you already have, so then again no time is being wasted. So you can log in and BAM xD. There is no good reason for wasting sep when you are offline. If we had to use uri to boost gens I bet you wouldn't be so cavalier about it. As sep is also a precious material.

cough cough thats the reason why skylab produces minerals in such abundance so DO doesnt have to write in code for a toggle switch and get you to spend uri on shipments. I wish they would revise the entire mineral mining proccess (skylab as well as on map), and use that code to help fix the bugginess. Do more with less and allow for ship refinement of seprom (in very small quanities). Give the players another reason to put up a base and allow for CBS mining modules. Heck, incorporate tech into the new assembly and you could get rid of the skylab TAB altogether.

  9. No, not everyone has a base, or is in a clan. Getting rid of the skylab would just increase the lack of balance in the game. Now if no-one could put ore on items then I would be there with you. Then we could see how players play without 100-500k power-pops on a NOOB.

thats why I said allow for shipboard refinement of seprom, maybe a buff through assembly, maybe a drone module replaceing a laser to collect just like skylab. Bring it into the game man. Theres lots of options if someone sits back to creatively find a way. Let there be a reason for that metal monster citadel with its huge 18k cargo hold besides sittin at base collecting a shipment. give people a reason to actually pick up a rock everynow an then make it worth something when ya do (more with less). get rid of all that code and tweak and bebug the game. i.e. being able to collect palladium while flying through the blue zones, but if you actually "mine" a palladium deposit SCORE - multiple pieces of paladium. But watch out for those aliens, or the oppurtunistic pilot they are out to steal it and theres a chance to lose it all if you dont finish before they attack.
