[UI] Ship Idea

I've had several of these ideas (new ships and improvements), and the Pusat seems to be the only ship to take so far.
I'm a jet lover and I still see a lack of style in the ships DO has produced lately. The pusat wasn't the best looking ship, the tartarus was sculpted in play-do, the memesis is a twig (it's an OK design) and the hammerclaw is just a slightly larger pet with the goliath deck on top.

The piranha has always caught my eye. It's a sharp looking design with great potential; however, DO wasted this design so it could be used for new players.
I believe with an extra engine, a size increase (leaving more space for weapons) and maybe a few abilities to compensate for the probable lack of HP, this ship could be better and useful.
I'm all about looks when I have the choice, and I think if DO stepped up its designing ability, this game could profit a little more. Obviously, this idea will get turned down, but I like to bring it up every now and then just because.
The piranha is a beautiful ship. Make a new ship, make a new design, have a completely new branch of goliaths with similar stats, different abilities. Have an entire new starfighter class meant to withstand heavy battles. A nice ability would be a deflection ability. Decrease an enemy's hit percentage by a certain amount. Maybe deflect outside blasts as well (making smart bombs useless, not emps). Not quite sure what the negatives should be.

 

good ideas, but, unfortunately, they made the vengi completely useless, I think more than a redesign, I think a rebalance needs to take priority, I was a diehard vengi pilot back in the day, but as for now, the only ships to be used to compete is the goliath.

I was thinking more like the newer model. The newest model is a little colorless for my taste, but the old client model resembles a pirate's ship too much.
Real fast, for those about to say "This is what the pusat is for"... sure the ship is strong, sure the ship is fast, but it definitely cannot hold up against the Cyborg and it barely stands up to a plain goliath. The pusats were made too weak on the HP side and can only fight in packs when fighting strong opponents. Not only that, but if you really look at the detail of the pusat, it's not that good looking. It is one of your better, but it could definitely be better than it is.

Exactly what I thought. Which is why I am calling for a redesign and/or replacement ship with more style and better survive-ability.

 

Yea, just make uri ship versions of the credit ships.
There will surly be a demand for such items.

 

This kinda reminds me of an old post I had for making uri designs of basic ships back on the old forums under another username. I understand that varity is the spice and the life of MMO's. Being able to use multiple different tactics is how you differentiate yourself from the groups that tend to keep with the norm.

Now with all things said as is... having ''Elite'' forms for each basic ship would seriously bring new vision to the Orbit but at the curent standing of how much people love tanking and suicide configs... we need something that can kind of split the difference. Especially with how over used the goliath designs are.

 

Ok, so going back my ship idea I had. I sketched half of the ship (bad camera quality, sorry) and the other half is a goli comparison (I didn't put much effort into drawing the goli). I just want to hear how you feel about this design.
