[UI] Spectrum and Venom Remodel

    This thread is for DarkOrbit players who think of suggestions/ideas that they think should be implemented into the game. Let the brainstorming begin.

    I've got a suggestion DarkOrbit for a Venom and Spectrum remodel. The reason I believe these ships need a remodel is because one (Spectrum) is very over powered and the most used ship (at least on my server) which takes away from other skill designs because there is little to no counter for this ship. The Venom on the other hand is the least used, most under powered skill design. I suggest for the spectrum two things you could do. #1 make the duration lower; I think 15 seconds would be a good amount of time, 30 is to much time for someone to kill any ship and still make to portal alive and is exceedingly more powerful then any other ship. #2 change the damage received and damage output %'s. I think the damage received is too little, I suggest a 60% damage received and 40% damage output (or 70%/30%). This would be good because groups could kill an spectrum sooner but they will do better in group fights if they use their ability instead of rendering them useless for 30 seconds. Now for the Venom. The Venom ability is very useless in PvP and PvE because its new total damage is around 200k. I think the Venom should do what the name is... poison the enemy. Put a singularity on them poisoning the target making it take 10%-20% increased hull damage, but your ship's shields drain while the ability is active. Or while the ability is in use the Venom takes 10%-20% increased damage overall. Thanks for giving your time for reading this and tell me your opinions on this idea.

    another suggestion I have is a filter for the logbook. You could filter it to just show for example ship kills without showing all the EP and Honor or all the other NPC kills.


    This entire section is for suggestions or ideas for the dev team, so new threads for different ideas is really ideal rather than losing a potentially good idea to the middle of some extended thread :) - SE

  2. IMO they should rather/only increase the damage against NPCs, we don't need more PvP stuff. If you want to PvP, use Tartarus, Surgeon, Ufe ammo etc, which are still overpowered against smaller players.
    Or they should focus/increase the rocket damage, which is too unimportant compared to laser damage (therefore Chevron/Demon designs aren't good).

    That is very true, the maximum rocket damage I believe with PLT 3030's is around 17k which is exceedingly low especially for the fact there is are multiple formations just for increasing rocket damage which u realize later are completely useless such as chevron. 50% damage increase of a rocket that deals 12k is only 18k damage total (very low compared to laser damage which can deal up to +100k).

    Now for ships I do believe that some kind of a ship should be made for NPCs for newer players to be able to farm better but not the Venom maybe a new kind of ship. For example those new lasers, the scatter or spectral ones that deal bonus damage to NPCs would be a great thing to do to a ship. For example a design for the Goliath increasing all damage to aliens by x%. They realeased 2 new designs for the Venom recently that are both really cool but sadly the ship is useless to UFEs which is what I think is what most people who play today are.

  4. Now for the Venom. The Venom ability is very useless in PvP and PvE because its no cause new total damage is around 200k.Cause only 185.000 for 35s.
    To help you with the idea of venom I will give you suggestions:
    1) increase the time of use of the skill when in aliens with same recharge 90s (42s = 262,000 for ships and 55s = 446,000 for aliens)
    2) Venom power is higher than the second time in common map aliens and is not valid for event aliens:
    First one: 185,000
    Second: 370,000
    Third and maximum: 555,000
    3) increase basement(5,000)
    4) to be able to increase the power of the singularity using another ship type target mark of one of the members of its group the ship reached by the singularity


    To help you with the idea of spectrum I will give you suggestions:
    1) the power of the spectrum is greater for damage from aliens than from ships:
    Aliens: + 30% damage protection from aliens to their shields for 30s
    Ships: + 15% damage protection from aliens to their shields for 30s
    2) increase load (4,000) and reduce nano hull of it by 22.5% = 198,400
    3) decrease the usage time for 10s or increase the recharge time to 180s (3m).
    4) decrease her shield bonus to 5% or switch to another 1% common shield regeneration.
