[UI] Stop to swearing and abuse in chat

Hello as we do need chat to know whats happening in the game and mods dont seem to mind bad langue being used or can not stop this can we not have just list of words that we can click on or just have whole message set up as im fed up off players swearing

 

We should have an option in game to have censored chat or uncensored chat. It is an idea from many games that do this. This way players won't get banned for accidental swear. And this way players with censored chat will just see "***" in the chat so they won't get offended by it.
Also Moderators should still keep a watch on the chat to make sure no sensitive subjects are being discussed such as religion and politics.

 

I got banned for typing F O R D in chat once so help me understand how your censorship idea would work? Automated systems do not work and misspelled/accidental words are common place in chat rooms anyway. We are in the 21st century censorship needs to be brought up to current standards not the 19th century where we can't even defecate without asking permission. I do agree seeing f**k on every other posting is unacceptable but every once in a while it is needed. The constant rants of how much better someone is over another while they are playing portal hugger is more frustrating than an occasional slip of the tongue/finger. If you are running your mouth in chat inciting a fight then you should lose DMZ protection so you can have your mouth shut for you.

 

On topic- I know some people are offended by foul language- I am not tbh so it would be nice if we had a censored/uncensored chat.

More censorship is needed, and unfortunately a mod schedule. Unfortunately, since mods are volunteers, they come when they have time, or rather feel like it. I am betting on the "have time." I don't see actually cursing in chat but do see the implied cursing, as in "RIP." Its overused tremendously to the point I am glad I spend most of my game time in group chat or private chat. The chat resembles high school gang talk now. Most people I know don't talk that way in real life. Only those trying to make a big name for themselves, and lonely speak that way. At my job, I regularly put people out the door for trying to talk like that because they are trying to "keep it real." I am just glad it is not voice chat as I have stopped visiting others TS because of this same topic.
