[UI] tell the people why they got banned, when they got banned

And a new player is supposed to know that .?I play on Global Europe..

 

i got something for you... i need you to tell me what is wrong in this sentence:

"k, guys... i guess ill leave as well now... i need to go to the barber and let my mullet cut right again "

i got banned for 12 hours for that... where is there something wrong that you will get banned for? Tell me... i dont understand... is it for wearing a 80s haircut or what?

Just a few reminders:

1. We are aware (and have reported up) the players are not receiving the ban reason information at the time they are banned from chat.
   
   
2. Players are welcome to make a post in the chat section of forums requesting information about their chat ban. The chat section of the forums is private between you and the mod team, so when you post there requesting information regarding a ban, please post your Ship name, UserID and the server you play. This information will allow us to look up the ban for you and provide you with the reason for your ban so you do not have to guess, especially since the last line you typed in chat may not necessarily contain the chat you were banned for.
   
   
3. Should you want to review them, Chat guidelines are available in the House Rules section of forums.

So, you got an option to know why you got banned, thats not bad thou...but isn´t it a bit too much for the mods to reply to all of them who are asking? Or are not many people asking?

k, now i know why i got banned for 12 hours... i wrote something not correct before, what i already forgot... sry about that ^.^

but seriously... isnt it hard for you mods to reply to every single player who asks, or is it not that much?

 

Stryke, use the edit feature instead of having multiple entries in a row on a thread.

The question would really be how many bans are being handed out. One every 5 min could be taxing to a single mod but I can't see it being so much for chat infractions as once a mod makes their presence known, normally you just see one, as in the one that caused the mod to make their presence known in the first place. "Grabs bag of popcorn." "Please change subject." Of course sometimes you just see them tell player goodbye, but when that happens the rest of the chat community could tell the banned player what they did wrong. That said, it would still be good if the mod put a little note to the player saying, "You violated chat rules per the T&C."

 

Most people getting banned know why they got banned and find it funny it took them so long to be banned. The few that do not know why they got banned either send a ticket with a screen shot of the conversation to Support or Private message through the Chat section of the forums to get the answer.

 

As this thread has been answered and advice given, it is being closed to prevent arguments, spam and people just posting for the sake of getting their numbers up.
