[UI] Trail Random Restarts

Only have to go onto GB1 server to see a large number of AFK (away from keyboard) ships flying around.

Not to sure how their scripts work, but would restarts stop them?
If it does, what about a trial period of having random restarts .....bye bye botters

 

no, that wouldn't stop them from boxing and operating, i saw this guy who is still shooting while restart of the server, i got back a few seconds after restart and i still see this player shooting a new kristallon with full hp near him from the spot he was when the server restarted.

looks like botting programs are improving than the game itself.

its easy for us players to detect if they are botting by trying to whisper them, if the system said that this player does not exist nor is online, it means they are playing the game via script and not from the screen itself, IMO thats how the scripts of bots work.

if D.O implement a CLIENT only playable function in the game, these botters wouldn't be able to do it, i mean they cannot access the game anymore in the browser but only in the client with secure and supervised script, if something odd or a script has been injected in the game, the client would automatically close and sends a report to what account the script has been injected and detected so D.O will make a move.

The only thing that the client will do for you is faster log in times, less lag, and does not need to store cache for the game and just saves the files, images and sounds in a folder on your computer, of course the client will read and scan the files, if they detect any changes or tampering of the file it will automatically close and unable to launch OR just re-download the file again from the server.

but i doubt D.O will implement such changes so soon, it will happen in time, let's just wait.

 

Would be nice if DO rewarded us for shooting botters, we are doing their job for them .

 

Bots are capable of reconnecting when you get disconnected so this wouldn't really help at all.

If I remember right it has been stated that shooting the botters will only make it harder for DO's anti-bot script to catch them, so if anything you are just helping the botters really.

 

Do you have any proof to back this up?
