[UI] Update seprom on other ships

  1. Hello guys, i have a new idea about seprom.

    First i wanna say, seprom is a rare ore in orbit and we have to wait for a long time to have seprom. It takes us 24 hours for 4.000 ( 40.000 rounds ) seprom.

    The idea is:

    If i update my lasers on Saturn design with seprom, i just have seprom on my Saturn design! If i fly with Solace i have no seprom on my Solace because it is on my Saturn!

    If i wanna hunt, i change to my Saturn design and go hunt. If i wanna play galaxy gates, i change to my Champion design and send promerium. If i wanna hunt again, i change again to my Saturn design.

    That is actually a great idea. And actually that would be a worth implementation.

    *Edit: Maybe players would hunt more with that implementation. There are less people hunting with promerium and they just escape.

    *Edit: Maybe the people would go more on the r-zone.

Not a bad idea, lots of players want to use Seprom for hunting only but with so many ships available, if you put the seprom on the one ship, but want to hunt in others also, you have to put some on those ships under your idea. A lot of players hunt with several ships. What then? Maybe we need a switch for what ore we want to use. I only use Seprom, but it is for PVE in my case. I understand you would like to save it for PVP only.
     
  3. What if, the upgrade boost on both lasers and rockets would equal to the amount of resource boosted but in duration instead of per laser volley:

    Lasers:

    Seprom = 60% firepower bonus, every 1k seprom will increase the duration of firepower boost by 2 hours (9k seprom = 18 hours of firepower boost)
    Promerium = 30% firepower bonus, every 1k promerium will increase the duration of firepower boost by 1 hour (it has 90k prom so, im not sure if you need that much)

    Rockets:

    Seprom = 60% rocket damage bonus, every 100 units of seprom as rocket damage boost increase duration by 1 hour (1k = 10 hours, enough and cheap on sep)
    Promerium = 30% rocket damage bonus, every 100 units of promerium as rocket damage boost increase duration by 30 minutes

    OR this type of idea:

    Can change types of what resource boost you currently want to use for example, you want sep, you put sep on 1 slot on laser boost, but then you want to save it for later for pvp, you can change to another slot for the promerium boost on lasers

    Function is similar to configs, but if i were the developer and its possible to do 2 functions of resource boost on lasers and rockets, like putting 2 different types of resource boost, sep and prom, and switch them independently to your needs, it will be a big use for players, because it prevents them from playing in the game because they dont want to waste the sep, am i right? so they wait until they have enough sep to do pvp and are ready.

  4. I think thats a fair trade seeing as much as i can go through.
    It will be inconvenient cause it will always run out instead of stacking but worth a go around on a test server.EDIT: for the lasers that is.

    I still prefer a seprom on / off button, when off the generators and weapons should automatically be boosted with the next ore available, (for example promerium). You can keep turning off ores untill no longer have a boost, for example, If I want to do galaxy gate and NPC missions i can turn off seprom and use promerium, but if I want to go PVP, I can turn seprom on, and I get seprom boost again.

    at the first place its verry hard to get sep on your ship and now you want that if i change my ship to a other ship i need to send sep again ??? lololol

    i think you have not en off wars or shooting not much enemy`s, its much to hard to get sep on your ship and on the way you wil make it then its impossible to get sep on more ships.

    yeah ofcorse this works fine for players what every day pussing around with 10 and more accounts, al no problem let the accounts fly in the rad zone they drop seprom and the main gets it ( or other designs)

    but for fair players like me what not have10 and more accounts its verry hard i need sometimes 50 to 100 k to play 1 day and also shoot on npc and war tags, wen i need to send sep to more designs how i get then sep ????

    I have posted in other thread someting similar. My idea is below:

    The better idea will be if there are two separete vault sections in upgrade window of the game client to give you posibilyty to update the lasers with chek box ot top of them.
    You transfer and use Promerium or Seprom to update them and then when you activete the chek box on top of Seprom vault for your lasers and they use the seprom and you play PVP or alternatively you activete the chek box on top of Promerium vault and your lasers use the Promerium and you play PVE.

    Regarding the booster usage the above idea of simple chek box can apply to boosters, also.
    When the chek box is active your ship use that particular booster, when the chek box is inactive the ship don't use that particular booster.

    So I if you like my idea I plead and urging you gays to voice your opinion on seprom subject and maybe DO team will listen and implement someting like that.

    It is not bad idea but it is very complicated like the new ship hangar.

    After removing the cargo from Cubikons I need to turn of constantly my skylab production of Seprom because I need the production of Prometium which I use to upgrade my weapons when I do PVE.

    Would be awesome to have this function for boosters to lol, or at least make some kind of trigger mechanism that allows you to activate a booster (once activated they will dissapear after 10 hours in-game) or something like that. Perhaps that is what we need for seprom.

    Not bad, but what if..
    The amount of rounds fluctuated by the level of resource? For example Duranium and Prometid are level 1 which is 10 rounds per volley, promerium is a level 2 so it's double (20 rounds per promerium) and Seprom should then again be doubled, so 40 rounds per volley.

    FootNote: This is more than fair on DO's end.. in the Skylab you can hold at LEAST 10x duranium than promerium and 10x promerium than Seprom so if you go from DO's logic... Duranium should be 1=1 Volley, Promerium, 1=10 per Volley and Sep should be 1=100 per Volley.

    If they do change something. Hope we will get a bit more of it. But I understand why Seprom is made like it is.

    Imagine all of us have Seprom all the time. So 60% bonus for Damage for all ALL THE TIME???

    I do not think that is good for DO. As why would we need boosters? 10% less damage or 20% would not be a problem to kill cubes and other things.

    So I think that availability of seprom is pretty much on point. It suppose to be limited.
