[UI] writing same crap again hoping one day BP listen

  1. This is what I want to see changed:
    • Multi-Company Clans - Yes, I still think this is one of the biggest issues with this game because until this is limited, PvP will always be limited as will doing npcs because of the sheer number of people hunting in massive groups.
    • Unfair events - I put this under MCC because it really is caused by it. Lots of people cant contribute to events, as in solo players or just people who like to hunt npcs alone because of the amount of big clans that are on all three companies taking them over with their various alliances and NAPs.
    • Unbalanced Ships - This also makes PvP very hard to focus on. With ships like Cyborg, it's just very hard to participate in it especially when facing against large groups of people consistently.
    • Not new player friendly - It's not hard to see why this has to be on the list. DarkOrbit has done lots of things to try and make this game friendly but it just doesn't work. With more then half the player base running around dealing 100,000 damage, it's very hard to grow your ship especially with enemy clan battle stations constantly encouraging enemies in your maps. Honestly, this doesn't even take into account that they are given missions at level 13, 14 and 15 that are completely impossible for them to do alone and the rewards are not even good.
    The last point is talked about consistently yet nothing is done about it. Also, if you're going to respond to me not adding anything productive please just don't. This thread isn't about you.
     
  2. This idea doesn't make sense because that has been the game since its creation, massive groups of people hunting together. That has been the whole point of Darkorbit and the whole point of clans and companies. You can go on any Youtube video of DO in 2006-2009 and you will see HUNDREDS of people fighting one another, hell you can even see multi company clans existing as early as 2007, Ars Martialis for example. If group hunting in massive amounts isn't allowed anymore then what would be the point of the game? 1v1s?

    The only reason why this doesn't work anymore is because this game has probably 4% of the amount of players today than it has in 2007-2009, and people and clans quit every day, I agree that something needs to change but forcing clans to disband or go one company isn't going to do anything because of:

    Rank. It can be argued that MCCs exist because of rank because people in the same clan want to rank up without interfering with one another's rank, so just switch company and chase rank there. Even then, nobody is going to switch companies because they don't want honor reduction.

    Unity. You can't force people to fight each other, if you delete clans, players will just make "clans" by putting clan tags in their names and they just won't shoot each other, and they will operate as normal but they just won't have a clan and they are different company. So nothing changes except the fact you just remove 4 letters and two brackets at the end of everyone's name.

    And lastly, clans oblige by the new rule of no MCCs, but there is one fatal flaw with that idea. Instead of an MCC ruling the server now its just a VRU, EIC, or MMO clan/company bullying everyone. So instead of one clan ruling the server its just one company.

    And ANOTHER issue with that is that its probably even worse, because now you don't even have a chance to fight back, because you can't work with other clans in different companies so in essence your own rule is your own weakness. So now you just have one company running amok and there is quite literally nothing you can do.

    There can be debate about this issue to the day this game shuts down, but the underlying fact that nobody here can deny is that this game was designed for massive fights with hundreds of people playing at once, unfortunately that is not the case anymore because there aren't even 100 people playing on one server at any point in time.

    So deleting clans or forcing clans or players to do something they don't want to isn't going to change a thing about this game, but probably make it worse than it is. Darkorbit needs real change like it being an actual download game, running ads, and attracting new players and putting new content. This idea won't change a thing.

  3. All they would need to do is give a negative honour punishment for destroying friendly ships even if you don't get the kill credit. They could make it half reduction than the person actually getting the blow, also no positive experience granted.

    This way they don't actually have to touch MCC mechanics to destroy it from the PvP perspective.

    Another idea is they could remove the Jump CPU extra for people over level 18 or 19 or something around this area. This would force people to be more cautious about travelling and stuff like defending and taking CBS bases will slow down rapidly especially for the main big clans while making it safe for smaller ships to travel, making it free would be a great idea also or at least making it easier to obtian.
