Unfair Darkorbit

Hello everyone,

Today I saw one of many ships with few flax drones AGAIN who won a design from booty key which they got from daily quest. On the other hand there are people like me who have used 400 booty keys & got nothing.

I won only 1 LF-4 & nothing else except trash. Why this system is so unfair ? Do you give those noob ships designs to push us to pay ? I used 20 booty keys at the same time on the same map on which I saw that ship with design even then got nothing, forced me to write this thread.

This unfair system of booty keys is nothing but to demotivate committed players to continue playing.

 

Hmm, lets see, got 3 LF3, 2 BO2, and 4 7900. Still playing 3 years later.

The booty chest is a random thing that pretty much counts everyone as a whole. I decided over 2 years ago to not open chest. I have 100 keys that will have to be oiled just to slide in the slot. Enjoy play, and don't let the announcements from others get you down.

 

Mate, what's the point into having Goliath skill design if you don't have good skill tree and good equipment? You can out damage him and kill him whenever you want

Just don't let those designs take your attention. Work for your ship, and you will be much stronger than most of them that have skill designs. I don't have any skill design, but I had killed many Goliaths with skill design. It's not about the design, it's how much you know the game, trust me.

 

I got a Spearhead from a Red Booty when I use my tenth key, now you usually think I got luck, but I already have a Spearhead.

 

This is the problem, 10th booty key & you got a ship or design. There are people who got nothing but trash in 400 booty keys. Where is justice ? If you tell me after every 100 booty keys chance of getting a design increases I have no problem. Atleast do something for people who are not getting anything from booty keys. Make it FAIR

 

Or you could just save up some credits and bid for the skill design?

 

Like I did for all of them that are in auction.

 

and there are people like me that gets 33 lf4 3 design 2 apis(90 parts) 1 zeus(45 parts) in 1200 keys...
but it took more than 50 gates to get full havok and 60 for hercules.

its all about luck. 30 consecutive gates without havok

 

I feel like the amount of special designs has gone way down since the new auction system came out.

Got 2 skill designs in first 300-500 or so booty (when the booty was new).

Got one more skill design in about 300 more,

Now haven't gotten one in around 750 booty keys.....6 months worth

I would however TOTALLY believe that Dark Orbit would bait a noob in by giving them a special design in a booty....after every other under-handed trick they have tried over the years, nothing would suprise me.

 

Lol. This game may be unfair but you shoulda realized that. Its s game of chance and no I don't think the chance for designs has gone down. In 200 or so keys I got 5 lf-4 ssome bo2 some lf-3 and lightning and solace

 

^ Yes Foo I agree, the generalization of the game being "unfair" is quite known, but each specific new occurrence may not be to all players, especially if it is a new incident or trend. I'm trying to help people by sharing my experience, and my knowledge of the game.

The specific issue for the boxes was never meant to be "true" for all players, just my experience, and my hunch as to why. Clearly, you have had a different experience, if you got all those items from a recent 200 booty keys (That is a nice haul btw). I wonder how many people have shared my experience versus yours in a selection of 200 booty keys....
