    Greetings, Pilots!

We are happy that you are enjoying the Parasite Tide event, but have also seen some helpful feedback on how we can make it even better.

First of all, we would like to inform you that we are tackling the pushing problem which seems to be bothering the majority of the community, as dishonest players try to get on top of the ranking with unfair behavior. Thus, the existing kill pushing system will now apply for Parasite Tide rankings, too. From the fifth kill of the same person you will no longer get ranking points. Players who have been pushing before should expect a punishment and time limited ban from the game.

Furthermore, we will only count kills on PvP and higher maps (from x-5 upwards) to the Parasite Tide rankings. We hope that this will encourage more low level player participation, though we realize that this does impact some newer players’ ability to gain ranking points via kills.

We also noticed your excitement about looting Kronos Zeta gate parts from the initial event bonus boxes. The part was initially meant to be another item, but given the response, we discussed it and added even more Kronos parts to be collected. Go out and get those right now!

Please remember that some of the event boxes are traps, and contain only infectious parasites.

In regard to your complaints that the event ammunition is too costly, we would like to clarify that it was not intended to be used entirely on its own for PvP (even though it deals x4 damage), but to spread the disease primarily. Anyhow, to make the event even more accessible and enjoyable, we’ll provide a discount on the price and we have added infection ammunition as event bonus box loot, too.

Last but not least, we would like to clarify why the Gygerim NPC did not yet show up. As you may have noticed, during the first day of the event only event bonus boxes were active. Gygerthralls then started spawning during the second event day.

We planned the event to develop like a real epidemic, getting worse over time. And thus, event features appear one after another. Please expect that you will be able to summon the Gygerim NPC starting tomorrow.

We hope these changes are to your satisfaction. Get out in space and enjoy!

    Your DarkOrbit team

    Hello again Space Pilots^^

As some of you may have noticed, the Gygerim wasn't quite the big bad boss the Gygerthralls led us to believe was headed our way this morning when it broke into our spacemaps.

The Gygerim's aren't underestimating us anymore and are stepping up their game. They should be a little more challenging (and rewarding) now. Time to take back our maps!

    Your DarkOrbit Team
