US-server chats [resolved]

Hi everyone,

As many of you pointed out (thank you^_^), the chats have fun off and are down today. We have passed it on but for now we can only wait & see when it comes back.

Additionally, please note this is not the same as the 'authenticationfailed' error, so while we do recommend contacting support for that particular issue, there isn't much that can be done with that until the chats are back. So please don't break their door down too much in the meantime, support are waiting for the chat to come back just as we are, then they can look into those auth-faileds again for you.

If we get any more news we'll update here (or if the chat sneaks back in)

Update (25/7) - Chats do seem to be up working again at the moment. If you have the authorization error now then support should be able to help you check for that now.
Update (later 25/7) - Chat on the Americas servers seems to be dropping off again. We'll keep the higher ups apprised
Update (26/7) - so far so good, seems to be back again

Update (1/8) - I just wanted to take a minute here to say that we are aware that the chat is still going down each night and we are still reporting the issue. Thank you for bearing with us so far
Update (5/9) - I don't have anything official for you all on this. However, the "security bubbles" error that was coming up when chats were down before doesn't seem to have happened in the last couple weeks. For now I am updating this as resolved, and we'll see if the issue comes back again later or not.

 

Looks like as of today the US chats are lost to the rad zone again.

This was reported earlier today so the team is aware. Presently we (mods) are not expecting it to be back up until tomorrow earliest. Here's hoping it isn't as reoccurring as it was before

Again, this is the entire chat down all around, not just the potential IP issues some of you have been facing (which would not be able to be resolved until chat is restored)

Update 20/9 - up for the time being
