USA West Merge???

Many people know that more and more people are quitting dark orbit on the USA west server. I propose that it would be a good idea to merge servers so that people can keep playing the game and maybe even bring some people back to the game. Everyone would just keep their ships and all of the equipment that they have and just fight new people. It would be a great idea in my opinion, plus i know that dark orbit will get a lot more money from the players on the west server. Basically, merge maybe one of the east servers or a different server with west, everyone keeps ships and equipment and let new battles begin with new people. Everyone is happy. Big point please take this into consideration!

there is no reason why it wont happen, many people believe that is a good idea and i think that it would bring the west server back to life

chix, why would u not want to have more people to fight against??? i really thought that u would be on board with this like most of the others that still play.

 

lets say a west server has a cbs in 4-4. then in another west server another clan has a cbs in 4-4. if a server merge were to happen, who would have the cbs in 4-4? there are many examples but it simply shows that its not going to happen.

trust me i really do want a server merge, but it aint just gonna happen. i would assume a small possibility in the next 3 years when they finger out how they will do it without any harm

 

Merging servers doesn't solve the root problem... servers are dying because there is NO incentive for new people to join the game. Honestly, the noob protection system is a joke. Not to mention the UFE players suffering from ADHD that get bored and declare on their own company. Honestly, if I was in a noob clan and some UFE goob declared on my clan because he was bored.. I'd simply quit playing. I'm not saying that you shouldn't shoot noobs, it's part of the game. But honestly, why give an UFE lvl 20 player ANY ep or honor for popping a lvl 10 player.. or count that towards a quest... Solve the underlying problems in the game, don't just muck it up by merging servers.

 

What creature are you? This game needs to got to old school, but $ and upgrades win. USWest would get slaughtered vs. East 1 unless each Co. mergers with their respective Co. USWests players ranks will drop like a stone.

 

I'd totally be down to have West coast merge with East 1, my server sucks dude... Im not even UFE and i can pop most of the players in here. Would like to see the maps more active and pop some West coasties

 

I simply do not play as much because of the constant lag. Support is really no help, tried everything in the forums, on google. DO can't really give a reasonable response as to why so many players suffer from lag. I can only imagine how bad the lag would be if they merged US west and US east servers. I honestly don't think they have the expertise to even pull something like this off effectively. As for UFE players, how are new players ever going to match up to players who have 8 to 10 thousand hours of play time. That's basically spending a year or more straight sitting on your butt playing a video game. UFE players are the one's who pay thousands of dollars into this game. I know players who have spent over 10,000 dollars on their ships...talk about a sad life but that's another story. On the US east server I see only about 25 noob players that play this game consistently. It's not like my server has a lot of players to begin with. A lot of the UFE players have 2 to 25 other accounts as well so that they can get the special offers. If they actually had friends in real life there wouldn't be so many fake accounts. Honestly the best way to improve this game is to get rid of global chat, get rid of clans and get rid of groups. I'm so tired of the politics in this game. Penalties for shooting ships in your company should be WAY more severe than a meager -100 honor points and -1000 credits.

I say get rid of global chat because it does not support freedom of speech. The CMs that BP uses have favorites and they will never ban their favorites no matter what they say no matter if it is swear words or racial. I have plenty of screen shots to prove that. I also say ban clans, groups and global chat because if someone doesn't like you for whatever reason they will go after you relentlessly almost to the point of harassment along with all their online buddies, which makes the game unbearable. I've seen many players quit just because of this. Instill rules that if you pop an enemy ship then make it so that they can only pop them 2 to 3 times per day. A UFE player is already on top and has nothing better to do then pop someone, that same someone as many times as they want a day. Better yet, put a cap on the number of times you can be popped in a day. The way it is set-up now is not working. And I am honestly getting tired of seeing the same players every day. Now on my server you can't even play spaceball unless your RPM clan since they have members in multiple companies and alliances with other enemy companies (mainly the UFE players). No one else is allowed in unless you kiss up to them. I'd hate to see this game die but if DO doesn't do a complete overhaul then their numbers will continue to dwindle.

Oh well, guess DO didn't like my response on this thread so now they give me beef over my signature which I've had for OVER A YEAR. So I deleted it. Like I said in my previous comment, this game lacks freedom of speech and DO uses CMs and Admins that punish you because they cannot take constructive criticism. It's more important to make sure that everyone's signature is in check rather than fix problems with the game's performance. I guess it makes them feel powerful in their little virtual world. This is yet another reason why merging west with east would not work.

 

Honestly though I don't think that solves anything. If it's red it's dead. I don't care if you're a peanut or if I have killed you already if I see you i'm going to shoot. Whether I get a reward from it or not. I enjoy destroying ships.

You are capped at 5 times a 24 hour cycle.

 

in another forum when admins see thread about that , they are always closing it immediately cuz they are saying its not even possible to do that.

 

It is close to impossible. And the glitches will be so bad people will flame the hell out of DO for merging servers.

So it is a safeguard against further loss of life

 

Many have violated the T&A by having multiple accounts It is spelled out , but what account do you want to retain is the question if a merge werte to happen...the obvious answer is your strongest account - lest you not?
