Venoms singularity

  1. Since when and why has the singularitys range been changed? Its bascially useless now seeing has people can get away so easily now with a swift change of direction. You can only use it when the victim is in range which makes it useless. Range should be brought back

  3. To be fair its fine how it is and i sort of like it! Especially when your a Vengie stealing Cargo from MMO in Spaceball :D
     
  4. Venom sucks, worst ship ability, but it is alrite for the odd banter.
     
  5. Not really when someone comes out of Demil zone in x-8 maps and you venom them :D
     

  6. Once every now n then, id rather run down the diminisher and regen the spectrum in a good brawl.
     
  7. hows it OP? all the person has to do is jump emp or rep using an aegis. diamonds you only like it cos you're not using it... you and the other cargo stealers were so annoying yesterday, they get out of range a bit and all of a sudden i cant use the venom

  10. If something is going to be ever done to Venom, the slow effect should be brought back.
     
  11. I like the change, it's no longer an ability that can take out almost anyone, but rather a tool used for assisting you with kills. Use it as soon as they EMP and chase them while firing off RSB-75 and they'll surely pop.
     
  12. It is good that the user has to be near the victim to start it, it is whack to pop from someone you cant see. A lot of nubs used it like that in pally maps, just click -> run -> activate... now if anyone uses it the victim has a chance to wreck them before it even finishes their hp.

    I got a venom but don't use it a lot..
    When i used it, it was to shoot bots in x-8, when they flee to base but still died.
    Now i mostly use spectrum / bastion.
    The hear whats changed i pretty much like it... Some newbie's with venom sometimes lock you and do effect, when you fly away, while they are standing in safe zone..
     
  14. venom ability needs a BUFF (because now is the WORST ability from all goliath designs), I like how they made diminisher ability not to be cancelled by emp anymore, now i hope they change the ability of venom making more damage for a short period of time, OR, as soon as u use venom, ur enemy gets 50% slow while the ability is on. (obviously, still can be cancelled by emp)
     
  15. exactly wildside, it has become useless. NoSkill$$ the venom's singularity basically doesnt work because the victim can emp, jump or when they are at one of their home bases, use a fully rep with the rep creds they save as deaths are free... They shouldnt have changed the singularity
     
  16. The Singularity actually DOES reduce the victim's speed by ...im fairly sure by 50%
     
  17. Its a pretty cool ability if at least could have been used as before in long range but they took it off, second they took off the slowing down too, and third the ability it really gets powered up towards the end only when it does about 10 k damage.
    So my proposition is this instead of starting from 1.2 k damage they should make it start from reverse and go down like 13 k then 12 k until 0. the reason i say this is
    because if u venom som1 after they emp the venom does not make a real damage just 1.2 k and until it reaches about 7 k damage they can emp again, since the emp cool down is about 30 seconds . so basically becomes useless


    if it starts from 13 k and goes down at least we can inflict the real damage in the begining until they emp again

    How about no, stop relying so heavily on the Venom, stop whining on forums for it to be changed so you can get easy kills, the Venom doesn't need to be changed and certainly not the UI range.

    The range was changed when we got the new resolution changes, so a while ago. I had presumed it was to stop it being used to destroy CBS whilst the clan holding it didn't even know it was being attacked.
    The venom graphics never worked on modules so enemy clans who were weak or just bad at fighting in general just sat in the corners of the map using venoms to destroy modules an even hulls if they had enough.
    At least with the range changes they had to get within a decent range to start using their ability.

    I don't think it needs a buff, its a pretty cheap tactic as it is already. At least with the other ability designs you have to be within shooting range for them to be effective and so you opponent can actually fight back.
     
  20. It's still a decent ability, you just need to know when to use it. If you use mid-map it's a great ability, especially when the enemy doesn't know where to go or what to do. Those moments are golden... :D
