ways to inadvertently use mines

Hello everyone, got an interesting question.

A few days ago I was at around 600 mines...now I'm down to 86. How is this possible? What are the ways to use mines without knowing it?

if you mean normal mines, you use up 10 per insta shield or smart bomb.

right...and I haven't played hardly at all in the last week so I'd really like to know what happened to all of them and I certaily know I haven't used more than sixty lol

 

Still curious if you're using insta shields and smart bombs... Just 1 insta or smart bomb is 10, so isn't hard to waste them.

 

Best thing to do if you don't actually remember using said equipment is to secure your account by changing the password and/or email.

Here is somethings to think about.. Do you save your Passwords or Account log in info .. onto your Browser memory?

DO-nut Do that.. programs exsist that Can Harvest this info and H-ACK both your Email account, Credit Card and your Game Accounts..

Do you use your KEYBOARD.. to Log into your Email.. Bank Account.. Game Account.. Game Account !! .. Then YES.. you can BEE Hacked..

I've been extra cautious myself lately, wouldn't doubt people getting hacked on DO. Last month or so, i was watching my CBS, and my back page got logged out, and my ship design changed twice. Immediately changed my password, haven't had an issue since.
So to the OP, i would change password, nothing is impossible these days.

 

This is just sad. A player is saying that his account may have been messed with and all the agents of Dark Orbit care to add to this discussion is ask if they can close? How about they add some assistance to this thread rather than look for excuses to close it out. It's really sad when that's all the people can do who are supposed to be here to help. Maybe they should change their title from moderator to thread closer seeing as how that's all they really do here.

You know Mods are humans, right? The way I see it, us normal members gives more assistance for the topic then Mods can give by themselves.

 

I, even though my Eyes are Solid.. Ive bean Rejected to partiscipate as a MOD.. and I feel you.. Tom Sawyer.. True it is .. but the MODs have a very Strick Core-poor-eat ( Corporate ) mandate and guidelines to Follow.. Perhaps they too WISH to DO more than what they are Permitted. They are Contributing with what BigPoint will permit..

So If we are permitted the FREEDOM to help our Community with Ways to Hacker Proof our Accounts Share Them..

Please could you not turn this thread into your own agenda on 'hacked accounts' since this clearly is not assisting the user with their issue.

In regards to the original poster, unfortunately we don't have the tools available to us to check into possible reasons as to why the amount of mines you had on your ship has suddenly dropped, therefore we can only advise on what may have caused the issue, with most of the possible reasons already highlighted such as;

- Have you recently been using many smart bombs or insta-shields? Even a quick hunt, only a combination of 10 smart bombs/insta shields will use 100 ACM mines.
- Have you checked your uridium/credit logs to see if they were somehow inadvertently sold?

Unfortunately there is not much else we are able to do from our position, in which case it may be worth a try contacting to support to look into the issue for you.
