What is the use of galaxy gates and how to use them ?

 

consinder them as gift maps/mission that when u finish them u get some usefull items

• uridium
• ammo
• equipment
• etc etc

if u r new here do not pay attention to them now, let them for later, as u need to power up ur ship 1st in order to be able to pass them

 

You should look at trying to do zeta gates. Even if you don't get the havoc design you get other good rewards (log discs and booty keys) to help at the start of the game.

 

I am at level 9.

 

Just go around doing your quests & leave your gate spins & any open gates as they are until you have better equipment.

Only do easy gates, like birthday gate. You simply try a gate & if it too hard for you, then leave it until later.

The links provided by #jonx# will give you a general overview of the Galaxy Gate spinner and the gates themselves. But be warned, the Galaxy Gates are not to be traveled lightly. They are ofter very difficult, and you only get 3 lives to attempt them. As the others have suggested, it may be best to wait until you have a well built ship.

Just try to get at least all LF3's. Even I struggled passing the first portal (Alpha).
