    I am a journalist, who has an opportunity to visit Bigpoint in a few days and meet some of the people behind this game.

    But I would like to hear from you, the players:

    Who you want to meet?

    AND what you would like to know?

    I guess the most popular question is why have they made their games so expensive to become a half decent character? i.e. I got to FE with a few hundred quid on Darkorbit and now it costs quite a few thousand to become UFE.

    So yeh the main question is why they became so greedy....?

    What would you like to know?
    Where do they see the game in 2 years time?

    In 2009 it would cost a play just under 1,000,000 Uridium to get a ship with all the best equipment (not including extras). However now it costs an untold amount, due to chance, the estimated number is around 50,000,000.
    Why were decisions made to increase the cost of buying the best equipment by 5,000% if not more?
     
  4. I'd like to know if there are any plans to balance out the game more, between free and paying players. Everyone who spends always has an upper hand in every way possible, which, I guess, is kinda expected. Still, it's too hard to play as a free player nowadays, and I'd like to know if the free players will have any chance... before I start inviting people just to waste their time.

    I'd like to know if the option to improve the credit ships for those that want and more importantly are willing to pay for such improvements ever be added to the game?

    I would like to kmow what happen to the statement made by rick dekard that they was going to add more uri to the quest but in fact the uri is now lower than ever for most quest the old quest had way better uri rewards.
     
  7. I would like to know if they're ever gonna lower prices. If they cut the uridium price on everything, it really would be funner to play and succeed.
    Either price cuts or cheaper uridium would be great. $100 for 330k uri is really highway robbery.

    Sorry to post again, but yeh the main question is when are they going to raise the amount of Uridium per dollar/pound/euro as inflation is high blah blah blah so the amount of Uri per buck should go up (which is hasn't since the game started in 2006)

  10. As I've said several times on the old forum, the only real option is to slash the cost of Uridium items, not the cost of Uridium itself. By doing the former, you're hurting the free players more - They're at an even bigger disadvantage than before.

    However, by reducing the cost of the Uridium items, everyone can get them easier - free players included.

    I think it hasn't gone up for this reason, and I'd be disappointed to see it happen in the future. So, to "rephrase" your question:

    I'd like to know when they're either dropping the cost of Uridium items, or increasing earned Uridium from Bonus Boxes, Quests, Galaxy Gates, Aliens, etc?

    1. Considering the massive decline in player numbers, was it a bad decision to make battle advantage so expensive and so excessive.

    2. Why Does the landing pages state
    " over 80 million active players blast off each and every day. "
    Currently there is only around 100-200k active players at best that blast off each and every day, for all servers. There has never been anywhere near 80 million active players ( possibly 80+ mill accounts ) let alone active players blast off each and every day.

    3. Why is it impossible to build an UFE ship without using chance (gambling) when the game is open to young players.

    4. Why is the probability for UFE chance items so low?

    5. Is there ever going to be changes that truly help new players and average player to get back into the game. Like reducing cost of items over time and removing / significantly improving the chance probability for UFE items.
     
  12. When you cut the price of uridium, it makes it more appealing to the free players, and they may begin to spend here and there. Those who spent before will probably spend even more. We thus get more uridium for our buck, and Bigpoint has more inflow. Win Win for both sides, but those that play for free are still in the same turkey they're in now:rolleyes:.

  13. Not a win, win for less spenders, seeing as higher spenders will have more uri thus giving them an advantage of still having more use of their uridium then the average player.

    Anyway, to answer this OP question, i'd ask why?
    Why:
    -Did they choose to ignore the players
    -The updates after the release of P.E.T.10
    -The huge gap between UFE & F.E players
    -Everything on the game hasn't turned into a 'chance' factor
     
  14. Higher spenders have more of an advantage now anyway. They also have more uri than the average spender right now obviously. This would help the average spender.

    1. How are they going to advertise to the mass markets? They have the trailer (which you can see at the bottom of the login page) that doesn't have any spoken or written words, so they can easily give it to multiple countries.
    2. When are they going to release a new Developers Thread like they did back in the old forums. I would like to know what is in the works with the game.
    3. How and when are they going to fix the probabilities for Galaxy gates?
    4. When are they going to add more maps/ aliens? (NOT INCLUDING GALAXY GATES)
    5. Narrowing the gap between wallet warriors and free to play
    6. When they are going to hire more people for support in order to better suit the community.

    I've liked a few posts about so yes, Uri costs the same but items are cheaper so free players can buy more stuff and this will likely make them stay and eventually spend if they can get more fun out of the game sooner rather than being put off within days from UFE WW's

    BigPoint are chosing the 1 spending £1000's instead of the thousands spending £10's
     
  17. Recently over the past few days I decided to spend some time in the lowers maps helping out a few novice players.

    I must admit, if I was to just be starting in the game I don't know if I would be staying.

    Things are way out of wack!! I've observed some players who are top players on the sever one hit popping noobs like crazy.

    Are these top players hard up for ship kills or something? I don't think they realize how much damage they do to this game when they go out playing popanoob.

    I can understand when levels 12-18 are hunting in lowers, it's practice for the real matches coming. But these level 22-24 guys really need to get a grip.

    OR- Dark Orbit needs to figure out how to bridge the gap.

    It doesn't talk about the future plans as such, but does touch upon bots a little bit with the rest being just about RickDekard and how he got to where he is today.

  20. What about those who cannot spend (for whatever reason), even if they'd like to?

    This is exactly why the cost of Uridium items should be lowered. If you cannot play this game as a free player, then they might as well make it a pay-to-play - as in a monthly subscription fee.
