Why Upgrade rocket launcher?

Everyone always recommends that after upgrading drones the rocket launcher is the one next and then shields and laser. I've been wondering what is special about the rocket launcher that puts it ahead of the shields and lasers that would stack with the upgraded drones.

Someone said that upgrading their rocket launcher improved their conventional rocket damage, does that really work or is the damage increase only for the hellstorms? Or is it something else entirely?

 

No upgrading the rocket launcher doesn't effect regular rocket damage. Personally I always say to do it last with drones and shields first then lasers and rocket launcher last.

 

It does help, especially if you use ubrs in a citadel >

Ottavosa, As stated above, upgrading the HellStorm Rocket Launcher only affects Hellstorm Rockets, not conventional rockets. The order of upgrades are left completely up to you.
As this is more of a discussion question, I will move this thread to a more appropriate section where the community can help you make an upgrade path decision, and give the reasons for their personal choices.

hstrm rocket first or second, to get it out of the way, u only need to upgrade one or two if you have the big old cit, but do it 3rd or last, if you feel necessary for others to come first.

 

What exactly are the benefits to an lv 16 hstrm ?

6% more damage with rockets used by the launcher.

Yeah but Uridium.... So no.. My wallet is unfortunately not infinite ;_;

 

Farm and farm some more and get those upgrades during upgrade hour, the price is substantially lower and the difference from the upgrades adds up , drones especially.

 

But I'm too lazyyyyyyyyy I don't have as much time for DO as I used to I'm already investing more time than I'd prefer to after coming back two months ago..... :/

I upgraded my Rocket launcher after I upgraded my drones. It was only one item so i said why not. Then I upgraded my shields
