  1. Does windows 8 laptop work on Dark Orbit? Are the graphics going to be the best like you see pro dark orbit players on youtube PVPing more than 20 players? Will there be no lag? Can it work on firefox on windows 8? Here is my laptop I am getting next saturday (link below). Please guys let me know if everything is going to work fine ( INCLUDING GRAPHICS AND FPS, MEANING NO LAG)

  2. Look, your specs don't do anything extra after a certain point.

    This is my laptop

This has TWO GT750m's, and runs the game at max settings. But I lag when I kill cubes, depending on the browser. Regardless of your hardware, it really depends on the crappy coding this game has. You'll have a hard time getting no lag.

  3. No no no no if u want to play darkorbit smooth you need a better computer than that... look this are my laptops aspects and it cost me a thousand dollars...
Intel core 7 2.2 hz with turbo boost up to 3.2 two times as fast the one you will buy(yours is going to be 1.8hz)---conclusion yours will be slower
mine has a 760m Nvidia Gforce card--- i think more powerful than the guy above me...
12gb ram --- which it doesnt matter you need 4 but good graphics to play it smooth
my computer is i think 3 times stronger than the one you are going to buy...
n when i kill cubes it goes down from 20-25 only when im fighting with two to three ships it goes from 30-45 and when im alone its 55-60...
watch my vide DarkOrbit- Zen The Beginning there u can see how I can play this game.
My advice dont waste those $400 on that save them get a thousand and build yourself one which would be way better than mine and would be more powerful .

  4. lol you don't know anything about this game do you? First of all, two GT750m's is way more powerful than one GT760m. Secondly, the game is coded terribly. Your hardware is not that crucial to the performance, the browser is.

  6. That is why he needs a way better computer.... because the way this game is developed... mr i know everything... yeah u might be right about that graphics but still does not make any big difference in the game from mine...
You need a good computer, and I know it from experience not calculating with "almost correct" assumptions.... ive tried this game on machines that are about 1500 dollars (build desktops, meaning that are more powerful than the sold in stores or online) and the game runs really smooth... is not your "Terrible Coded game" nor "The browser itself" or "The flash player"... but I wont say it doesn't have issues cuz i does if this game was downloadable or had its own platform nobody would lag... happy? gosh theres a lot of disgusting people like you that feel the big thing... shut ur mouth and be kind with people... no coming with your "lol you dont know anything about this game do you?".... thank you....

  7. I run 2 o/c'ed 680's and high-end cpu in my m18xr2 and I lag - funnily enough only on Darkorbit tho - so don't buy a computer thinking it will markedly increase the performance of this game for you.
With regards to Win8, yeah it will work, just as Win7 will work. If you like Win8, go with that. I don't, it's the new Vista

    Exactly.

    Advice:
AmnesiaULTIMATETANKE - Look in the direction of new generation processors
    - such as intel i5 and i7.
They work perfectly with modern 64 bit architecture and the latest version of windows, and naturally with the browser-based games (BBG).

  10. having a different Windows does not reduce lag what so ever.... where you got that idea at i have no idea.. Lag will depend on computer performance, web browser, RAM, graphics card, and so on.

  11. I understand I can't change my graphics card because I have a laptop, compaq. My graphics card on this one is horribe. I brought 16 GB RAM for this laptop, DK still runs the same with 16 GB RAM installed. I'm figuring out if it's the graphic card that is causing me to run slow and lag on DK. What about pentium core DUAL CORE. That is double cores right there. I rather not get quad core. But anyways any suggestions?

  12. You're better off with building your own Desktop, rather then buying a laptop. If you cannot
A bit hypocritical, don't you think? lol

OP: i'd suggest getting a desktop instead of a laptop, because they're up gradable, whereas laptops aren't.

  13. your kind of annoying you know?
just to let you know i dont love haters... I do better stuff than that...
thanks for hating on me seems you are pretty interested on what i do and say...

  14. I don't hate you, because i don't even know you, to be able to decide whether i hate you or not. But if you seem to think so, feel free to report me. :)

  15. but the fact is that you are always following me... do you like the way i comment or do stuff? do i owe you something? cuz trust me you are annoying... if you dont have anything good to say keep your mouth shut ok or go comment on another place alright?... :)

  17. So building a desktop would be a good idea. What about getting one with at least 4 GB of RAM and maybe 300 - 500 GB of hard drive GB. Also with a high, working crazy graphics card already installed in it. Also with high resolution, a desktop monitor with at least 1600x1200 and up resolution. What do you guys think? I am thinking of buying me an already-built one with at least the best graphics card. Suggestions?

  18. Two things:
    • Your GPU(s) mean almost squat when it comes to DarkOrbit. It uses Flash, which uses your CPU for Graphics. You could have your system fully loaded with GTX Titans, running in Quad SLI, and you'd still be no better off if you had a crap CPU.
    • While efficient code can contribute to a performance boost, it shouldn't make that much of a difference. If you think you could do a better job, then go work at BigPoint and do exactly that.

  19. I built my own Desktop last year and it cost me ..... Under £100
(some parts i used from my old computer though)

    Motherboard : Gigabyte ga-78lmt-s2p £25
    CPU: : AMD Athlon 2X2 270 (3.4Ghz) £30
500gb HDD : Ripped from old Comp
6Gb Ram : Ripped from old Comp
    GFX Card : Msi 5450 £15
    ATX case + PSU : £30
(everything was bidded on new from Ebay)

Over clocked to a stable 4.00 Ghz
This was the cheapest option I found for the best performance
This set up plays Darkorbit flawlessly at 63 Fps
and can easily play medium to high games
but you network performance may vary

    Im using a :

    Virgin Super Hub 2 300mbps
(most people can only use 100Mbps)
    128mb Download
    3mb Upload
    Ping of 3ms

    Hope this helps
