Wondering...

I am wondering why the same person is always able to outbid on several items at once with less than 10 seconds left in auction. Had asked and was told cannot happen but it just happened 3 times this morning. Maybe there is a glitch in auction that someone knows about and I don't.Been happening for months and always the same people have this option to multi-bid items. Won't mention names since they will just get removed.

 

If you have a name, send it to support with the bid times. And they are probably using multiple tabs on the browser. Just a thought, as its hard to try to bid twice in 20 seconds.

 

agree, i've seen it happen as well. during the last min of an auction, a player bids on x items within a few seconds. I wish I could...

 

Its not just on two or three items Ive seen guys bid on 10 - 15 cheap items within 30 seconds left. This is just gonna keep on happening, I wouldn't expect support to do anything about it. Its not like them to help players out very often. But maybe if we get enough people who have seen it happen to come up and say so they might look into it but with only 4 posts... doubt they will even look at this. But good idea bringing it up.

There is no rule saying you can't have multiple DO window's open at the same time on your screen, it is possible to bid in 10 items during 10 seconds without breaking a single rule Anyone can do this so I do not think there is anything unfair in it.

well they need to fix that since it allows the same people to always win what they want. I know that support might be looking for a way to prevent that but I doubt it. Just another way that cheats rule and ruin the game for most honest players. DO seems to cater to them if the spend $$. always been that way.

 

not going to waste my time sending anything anymore to support.they do nothing with it. last time they claimed they never got the e-mails.. all 5 I sent in a row lol

 

just another way for cheats to beat the system and honest players suffer. No wonder maps are empty.

 

They need to not allow people to bid on more than 1 item at the same time. Pretty simple to fix. Multiple screens have the same account number. Just let only 1 bid, rest get locked out.

 

Do you play the game with 10 windows open also???? May not be a rule but there should be and hopefully will soon. It's cheating no matter how you want to make it seem.

 

Playing on 10 windows would be a chore... Bidding is different as you don't lag out on the auction, but you could lag and miss final bid time.

What i would suggest is that if you have issue where as you feel a player is doing something that is inappropriate please do the following:

Take a screenshot of the issue, also include a copy of the players name in question.
Write a brief description as what you think the issue or problem is and submit it to support.

Issues of this nature are investigated.
This does sometimes take a bit of time, as there are many things support is responsible for.
But it will get looked into.

Thanks Astraea, Been there, done that too many times only to have nothing come of it. I try not to use support unless I have to since I always wind up with Kara and she is useless and and does not do here job very well. Please close this before I get a headache. Thanks.

 

Well my tactic is:
Last 15 sec > Refresh the page,
and last 6-7 sec im bidding on someone, and when i bid there is like 1-2 secs left. So i won everytime ^^ Try it.

 

my connection allows me to bid only in the last 20 sec. or so
it takes that long to process
i'll try it and post my results but refresh may take longer

Have tried it. Bid takes 10 seconds to register. Any time less than that rolls over into new auction. You are only person that seems to be able to have bis register in less than 10 seconds. My point is mulitple bid. People bidding on 10 items at the same time. Impossible to do if you don't cheat.

 

I have Europa's most expensive and -most slow internet- in my country.. But still i can bid on last 6 or last 7 sec.
/Download speed 8Mbps, Upload 0,60Mbps.
I think i can bid fast because my computer and browser is fast

 

lol @ 8 Mbps is slow. in my country people usually have 1 mbps, which is divided among 8 people means 1024 kbps/8 people = 128 kbps max download speed

 

Well hate to bust the bubble of theory. But you are not going to be able to move threw 15 tabs in 5 seconds, Just not going to happen. But what i do know is there is a auction program that allows you to place bids on everything and send them in all at 1 time. Which to me sounds like the case here. If the person is caught using the backdoor program there account should be ban and removed! Actions like this is what is killing the game.

And JASS if you do not wish to speak with Kara the tell her in your email you wish to speak with her supervisor (Chris). It will take a couple of days for him to get into contact but he is not a bad guy and seems to move the ball a little faster with more respect for the customer.
