Zeus Drones For €1000?

I was surfing the web one day when I came across this here article.

If you ask me a Zeus drone for €1000 is pretty crazy considering the fact that it only costs 1.5 million which is only worth like $150 on Mega Happy Hour. So why did people buy for €1000 instead of just $150 on Mega Happy Hour?

 

To get it first I suppose.
On a much smaller scale this happened yesterday; for most servers the 3 new goli designs weren't available in the shop yesterday but were available via the uridium page for real money. There were some people who paid real money for the designs instead of waiting 24 hours and getting it for a cheaper value in the shop.

I don't actually ever remember it being sold whole for 1,000 euros but it is weird to what extent some people will go to so that can claim to be first.

^ That was the website RockPaperShotgun used for their article and the original artile by GAMESbreif has been amended.
Key points:

• To buy the 10th Drone, you need to buy all the previous drones (the first, the second, the third and so on.)
• If you tried to buy the 10th Drone without owning any other drones, it would cost you around €1,000
• Bigpoint has sold 2,000 10th Drones in November 2011

So the whole 1,000 euro for zues drone wasn't exactly true, just a weird manipulation of the figures to make it seem more interesting than it was. The article also continue to get things wrong in saying you need 9 drones to get the zues. Don't think it was very well written in the first place ...

 

That's hilarious. Looks like Bigpoint just wanted attention.

 

Either that or the journalist was having a slow day with nothing interesting to write about ^^

 

that journalist probably doesn't even play the game... its pure rubbish that u have to buy the other drones first.
