[GI] Megga Happy Hour on GA3

Tell me why is it that GA3, a server that is a GLOBAL server, has a set weekly MHH that suits the Americas and with a little effort, most of Europe, yet says Stuff You to the players of the Asia and Oceania areas? And I say GA3 because that is the GLOBAL server I play, but I don't have to play the other GLOBAL servers to know that it would be exactly the same on them.

Every week around 7 PM ( I think) server time on a Sunday evening there is a MHH. Great if you are in the Americas or Europe. For those of us in the Asia and on the west side of the Pacific, it is well into the next day and we are at school, Uni, or work.

Why can we not have a set MHH suitable to us as well or change the current MHH from Sunday night to Saturday Night so then it would be on our Sunday Morning? Yeah, there is sometimes a surprise MHH that we may catch, but never a set time for us to have the same benefits as those players in the Americas and Europe. Give the Asia and Oceania players the same opportunities as those on the other side of the world.

 

Global just means it offers all the languages DarkOrbit supports. The actual server is located within America and so it accommodates an American time zone.
DarkOrbit did try and make a Global Asia server, however the gaming laws within Asia prevented them from ever updated the game so the server was moved and renamed to GA4. If you have a MHH to suit your time then it might not suit the rest of the other players and since in a GA server you will be the minority with South Americans making up the vast majority, they will get priority as the server is meant for their time zone.

 

Am Aware of where the server is and if you understood what I wrote, you you already know that. And if you understood what I wrote, you would see that I am asking for the same opportunity as the "vast majority" as you put it, am not asking for the MHH to be set to my time zone. Am asking for a regular MHH that is available to people in this half of the world, at a regular set time, just as it is for the America's. And as for your generalisation on Asia's gaming laws preventing a game to be updated,...... maybe one country, certainly not most or all, and my country for one has no such laws prohibiting a game server from being updated..... so that statement just went pffft.....

I explained why the MHH is the time it is on the server you play and why Asian servers do not exist, sorry if you felt my explanation was a generalisation but that was indeed the reason Global Asia was changed to GA4.
Your original post made it sound like you did not understand the reasons why MHH did not exist in a Asian time zone but instead exists in an American time zone for a Global America server, so again I am sorry for explaining why that was the case since you were already aware.

 

Mmmm, not a new idea to have an MHH, Just asking why there can not be a regular MHH to suit all people. Be that a change to the one MHH that is on a set time so that it is more available to all players, or, be that a second MHH at a set time that is more suitable to those in the other half of the world.


Sorry, but your answer appeared to be condescending because as I stated in my original post "7 PM server time on a Sunday evening there is a MHH. Great if you are in the Americas" shows that I know the server is located in America and that it is aimed mainly at the Americans ( North or South makes no difference). And the fact that there are many Server Based games with servers located within Asia that undergo regular updates / upgrades / it also appeared totally inaccurate in that respect due to your generalisation of "however the gaming laws within Asia prevented them from ever updated the game".

As I stated / questioned in the original post "Why can we not have a set MHH suitable to us as well or change the current MHH from Sunday night to Saturday Night so then it would be on our Sunday Morning?" So, the part that says "as well" and the part that says " change from Sunday night to Saturday Night " indicates that a) I was not looking for the MHH to be changed to an Asian time zone, and b) was aware of why the current set MHH was set for the American time zones. The "as well" also simply asks for the possibility of a second regular MHH at a time that would make it available to people in the other half of the world. Also, the "or change the current MHH from Sunday night to Saturday Night so then it would be on our Sunday Morning?" acknowledges the majority of players that the current MHH covers, yet would then allow the majority of players from within Asia and Oceania to also access that MHH as it would be on a Sunday morning, rather than the current Monday Morning when they are at school, Uni or work.

Perhaps the question could be, why is it not random as to enable people of different time zones to benefit? Why is it stated to be random yet occurs at the same time every week?

then where is the server for my time zone and can i transfer my account to that server so I can take advantage of a MHH for my time zone? No to all, no server for asia pacific or far east, and no MHH for those time zones on servers we are directed to to play on, and no you can not transfer accounts between servers.

 

I play in SEA which is a similar time but 1:00 am is around yesterday 1:00 pm in NY mhh is no problem from here. Now upgrade hour is i barely see it a year

 

well MHH for me is at 9.00 to 11.00 am my time the next day, depending on daylight saving / summer time etc in the US so is a big problem for me, and the fact that I am being told that the only way to get some sort of fair and equatable access to the MHH is to put it in the Updates and Ideas section is a sad state of affairs for this game. I was directed to the GA3 server when I joined so if the server does not cater for my time zone then why did BigPoint direct me to this server from my time zone?

 

As you have been told already there is no server in your time zone. So the game directs you to the one with the lowest ping.

You want a server in your time zone? Stick your idea in the ideas pool.

Don't just spend your time making pointless arguments, raising the same questions over and over when they have already been answered but you don't like the answers.

As Yet I have not been given any reasonable explanation as to why I and many others in this specific server, are not given fair and equatable access to MHH especially when it is the company that directs our startup to the server.

The argument is not pointless, it is about fair and equatable access to a major feature of the game that is being excluded to many that play this game.

That the server is not in my time zone is not an answer. I was directed to this server, had no choice that I was aware of until my account was well established. That the majority of players are in the Americas is not an answer. Everything that you have said on this so far is not an answer. All you have done so far is to provide (redundant) information as to why the MHH is at the current time. You have provided no answer as to Why the MHH can not be available to all. Simple question.
