[GI] loosing connection

    i am loosing connection to the server every 2 min or so, is anyone else having this problem?

    If you have cleared your browser and flash cache and a router restart and rebooted and you still have the same issue there is another option and that is to flush your local DNS cache. To do this.
    • Click Start.
    • Enter cmd in the Start menu search text box.
    • Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
    • Run the following command: ipconfig /flushdns. If the command succeeds, the system returns the following message: Windows IP configuration successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

    Hello, i have the same problem and i have tried everything. its been two days now.. everytime im losing connection,, its very annoying can u please help me out
     
  4. Are you having this issue on the same server as the OP?...US East1? Are you having connection issues when jumping through some portals in the game? Sorry for the questions, but it helps with a resolution.

    Thank you both for assisting the user with their concern. Will add a point the the mentioned above, have you tried using a different browser? After the helpful points mentioned above are you still experiencing this Issue?

    Yeah im playing on usa east 1 .. im still losing connection
     
  7. GA1 is also having this problem and large delay i think an admin needs to check the game out instead of telling us to clear cache's
     
  8. I'm having connection problems on GB2, tried everything, even tried different browsers.. same problem but when trying to load game page its stuck on Establishing Connection... I can't even change hangars but like that since last night :(
     

  9. Trace routes to those servers are showing that the servers are operating normally. This in no way means its on your end either...so please don't think that. There could be dozens of reasons that several of you are experiencing this specific issue. Since it seems your issue is occurring while attempting to establish a connection and not in-game (Portal jumps, and etc)...I believe you could resolve the issue with a renewing of your IP.

    Before attempting the IP renew instructions, please make sure to clear absolutely everything and close your broswers.

    Enter Command Prompt
    Type ipconfig/release then press enter, then....
    Type
    ipconfig/renew Then press enter again.

    Immediately close command prompt, and shut your computer down for about 2 mins. Restarting the router during this time can help as well, so you may want to do that too. Start your computer up and attempt to login to the game. If that doesn't work please let me know, as there are a couple other things it could be as well. Please do be patient and follow the instructions to the letter.

    its not helping.. Im only having this problem on Usa east 1 .. on other servers i play fine.. there are also other people having this problem on east 1 .. can u help me out please .,. cause i cant play like this

    Tony[-6-] and superleo12, I have checked US1 and I am not experiencing the issue you describe. There may be an issue with the ISP you are coming from. You may be able to ask your ISP for assistance in finding the connection issue.

    on a other server i dont have this problem.. i play fine, i really need some help cause i cant even do a struener wave in galaxy gate .. i freeze every time and when i kami i lose connection
     
  13. I play on US East 1 as well. I rounded up several buddies on the server and none of us are experiencing what you are. We asked in open chat, and all we got in response was: the typical lag spike issues. Like Raijin said, this could be an ISP issue, or you and some other players are connecting to the server through a Hop point that is timing out. I would Highly reccomend doing a trace route. Look for high numbers on any hop, or look for this **Timed Out** in your trace route. If some of the numbers are in the hundreds or you get a Timed Out, then you need to contact your ISP. I will give you the instructions to perform a Trace Route, but please do Not post your results in the forum or in the game anywhere.

    Trace Route:
    Open Command Prompt
    Type: tracert us1.darkorbit.bigpoint.com
    Press Enter

    This could take a minute, and if your really having some issues...it will return a result of 30 hops. If you can't get assistance from your ISP, try leaving your router completely unplugged for 10+ hrs. I know that doesn't sound like fun, but it could honestly help. I hope it improves for you, you have my sympathy.

    hey .. i went to my isp and they said there is no problem.. i cant even do crazy cubikon now cause i keep freezing.. and i did a trace route but i didnt get 30 hops it was less then that

  15. This is not on the game servers end superleo12. I wish it was, it would make it simplier. I was on US 1 a lot today. US 1 server may not being running as fast as some stream line servers, but today it was running very well given the load.

    reezing during crazy cubes happens to everyone, and it can be a combo of system strain and server load. I'm glad your ISP said there was no problem, however most ISP's will run a 72hr test that constantly monitors and test your connectivity. It is simple feature nearly all companies utilize now.

    think you might be confusing system lag with internet lag. The OP and others were describing unable to establish connection issues, immdiately dropped connection, and you said you were having the same problem. Obviously you have been able to establish a connection and keep it long enough to attempt crazy cubes. Try boosting your performance. Close out of all other applications, make sure update services like anti virus and windows are disabled before playing. Use disk cleanup in windows, followed by disk defragmentor. Sorry couldn't be of more help, but you may want to open up a new thread asking for help in boosting your computers performance or tweaking your internet. I am sure there a lot of players with some really good ideas in those two areas. Good luck to you.
