[TI] Tartarus

Basically though it was a bug caused by BP. So people used it. Its not as if these people used some kind of outside script to get the extra speed. If that was the case then fair enough ban the lot. There was a bug a few years ago that caused everyone's rocket damage to double every time they fired them. People were causing 20mil+ damage and this was bugged for about 2 hours.
Everyone used them, does that mean everyone should of been banned then? If so, the server would of been 100% empty.

Also, randomly discovering bugs are how bugs are found. I doubt all those "cheater" clans got an e-mail or a message from BP telling them all about it. All it took was to warp in or out of the new ship for the bug to take effect. Yep sounds like an "inside elite" conspiracy to me.

 

They have finally corrected the Description of the Ability and the ship is functioning as it was supposed to with its 40% speed increase.

The Ship is not Bugged but the added a Bug that effected the other ships speed when warping from Tart to another ship.

NORMAL, lets see if this is classified as normal now (going on for an entire quarter) PvP game but the PvP kills do not apply to quests because no one flies a Basic Ship now, lag that builds up to a frozen game and allows a Lordakia to get a kill on you, chat that can not be used in the evening when everyone is playing (currently not even working in the morning), balance of the game is not even in the wheelhouse to be worked on (the release of the Tartarus further displays this statement).

You are right they did not get an email from BP/D O but they did get emailed from the first player to see the bug and went out and made best use of it until D O gets it fixed, but then they have to admit it is a BUG to even fix it.

 

Spending 200k uri just to zoom around the maps for a bit, not exactly game changing and not cheap. They will not get banned or punished in any way as they have not used it to unbalance the rankings. I am sure if everyone got the new ship, (if it didnt cost that much) they would of been doing the same as the people that did buy it, whether or not they got the email from that first person.
What I am saying is, its not the fault of the people that bought it, but the fault of the people that made it that way.

 

Speed boost has been suddenly disabled on few min,but still on toggled. need fix it

 

so then, it IS a bugged ship if its creation is causing another time warp in orbit

 

The Borealis design, i think, is bugged(or maybe it is supposed to be slightly faster?)the Borealis's speed without the skill but with promi it is 492,with the speed skill it is 688. there is nothing about it on the description of the Borealis,so is it bugged,or is supposed to be this way?

and it is just the Borealis,my regular skinned tartarus is the speed its supposed to be.

 

So apparently some folks forgot how to tell time or even count.

Anyhow I don`t see the speed bug reappearing and giving me 1,509 speed but the Borealis is faster than the standard Tartarus.Standard is 444 for tart and 492 for borealis.Did a race with AmericanWolf and found his numbers aren`t just show hes actually faster than me.

What about the Borealis design giving a speed boost to the Tartarus?

 

I am so sad bcs i spend 350k uri on this ship and design,now after "SMALL FIX" ship is like slow motion.
Just back on surgeon and for me ship is dead,from begining problem with drop speed and in midle fight you lose speed then you die,offcourse BP will soon repair all i think (after new year),so good luck to all with this sh...

Have seen this brought up elsewhere and has been reported. Not much info about it at the moment.

 

oh yes, thx to fix it, one more thing, Tartarus's boost exhaust effect will be back normal when jumped, disable and reactivated.

 

I guess i should have been more specific. What i ment to refer to was Players glitching the speed bug to other ships like golies bouncing from one end of the map to the other in a golie in only 2 or 3 seconds. this kind of action is intentional misuse of a game glitch. on usa east 3 there was a entire clan using this there name was posted by a different user in this thread but that name was removed so i will not repost it. yes the entire group of players who abused this bug should be banned. it was not a accident as sauron said. It was completely intentional. and at this point it is clear that dark orbit dose not care to punish the Players who cheat but rather punish those who play by the rules. It would seem that it is more convenient to punish those who speak up in the forums and chat about the issues

did you report the users glitching the speed into a goli and going around the maps in a golie smashing Players with 2000 speed ? or was that overlooked? as it would seem they are still in game

Just an update on some of the bugs mentioned here, these should be fixed as of yesterday;
· Booster window bug where it kept opening/closing
· Tartarus speed that was increased with using the ship designs
· Issue with Tartarus speed boost suddenly stopping

& No we do not have a running list of who did or didn't use the bug ourselves, that's not something we can monitor from chat/forums. If anything further is going to happen on that it's going to take place on the development side.
