[GI] Cheating

I am just curious as to know how cheating is still happening in this game?? For example there is this person who is on 24/7, has ranked up soo fast, and the whole server knows what she is doing. How can you be on your ship when you say "gotta go to work be on later", but yet 5 minutes later there is her ship. Call it blowing off steam or whatever I hate Hate Cheaters. I can't see the point in doing it is she that desperate for rank which still makes her a crappy person. IDC call it blowing off steam or whatever,but you can not say that it doesn't make ppl mad to see this still going on. Certain things this cheater does just gives it away. Now how is someone supposed to prove that she is nothing but a damn CHEATER?!?! You say you are making this server better by getting rid of the bots but yet people still cheating. You can't be stupid not to know that alot of players fly others ships, but to gain rank is bull.....

 

Ok for starters is just a game when you play it long enough you will realize that pretty much all cheaters are caught sooner or later. There are still some players who think they never will get caught I say let them cheat as much as they want then there is more of a chance they will get caught. Enjoy the game there is nothing you can do to control others so just worry about yourself and try not letting something so minor in life get you down.

 

Not really. Every cheater has a backup plan, which is other accounts/s. They don't care if they get caught, they will just start over or cheat more accounts at the same time with numerous of different programs/tools. Nothing will stop them TBH. It's seen.

 

So then what your saying is exactly what i was saying there is nothing in there power to do anything about others who choose to cheat so why let yourself get so worked up about it. Just wait and let the bot detectors do their job.

 

So many people on my server that are high in the rankings account share any whatnot.

The botting is stupid too. I've screenshots of the players on my server having 50M+ x4, SAB, RSB, ETC.

 

If you know this is solid, you should send it up to Support, or open a thread in the Chat section for the Mods to check out. Other than that, you never know what job a person has where they can get on the game. There are some that work from home, doing whatever. It could be an after hours call service. I have friends that do this, and I have seen their setup at their house. So to say I have to go to work in 5 min and then be back on the game is not impossible, nor unheard of. At the same time, you never know what is going on and it could be a case of sharing with a family member, which is against the new updated terms. These things are where you need chat logs. People chat a certain way. If the chat style seems to change from one hour to the next, its something a player can investigate in game with basic conversation and then copy the chat to a file to be sent in. At any rate, if the entire server knows what is going on, it should not be hard to clear the player from the field. I have seen mass changes in rankings on my server in short time but until I see something different, I see it as players took their X-mas bonus and turned it into a lot of gates. Not unheard of, and I am really expecting it to be done again. The Botting has really gone down from what I see. I remember when x-2 maps were crazy filled with bots. Its 1000% better now.

Unless you can prove it, saying this is just a blank statement. Players can have lots of ammo. The problem with it is what?

 

Yea copy and paste what she says in chat, but she or I should say the person flying her ship does not chat. In any case this individual is well if I say I would get a ban, but cheating for rank WOW how low can you get.....

 

Screenshots of their ships and watching them bot in 2-4 and battle maps? Doesn't take a wizard to see where someone on this game is botting.

 

a lot of ships that are bots- are set to just restart botting if they get killed. So since this is a PvP game, just set yourself up to kill that botting ship as many times as you want and get some pvp missions done.

She is not botting this so called fair player is busting out gates, having someone fly her ship to get these gates done and hunting. This low cheater is only allowing someone else to fly her ship no botting just hunting and gates. Her ship is on 24/7 and sheis a leader of a noob clan. Letting someone else fly your ship so you can rank up is bull. Thing is you can't prove it but everybody knows what she is doing!!!!

 

u cant kill a ship as many times as you want u will get done for pushing and after so many kill u dont get any reward for that player and killing a botter is not the right thing 2 do as many have been told to leave the botters alone for the system to pick them up other wise u popping them messes it up

 

and it is really hard to pick up a share account reason people have been told not to use VPN as it changes your ip so say this way

you are a UK player and log off then 10mins later some one form US logs onto it they cant prove the account sharing because of the VPN

alot are daft tho when they say im on my bros account or my friend let me hunt on his account but its rare to get anyone to admit it only thing i can say is post user name and server to support and ask them 2 look into this but unless they admit it there is not much you can do

 

If this "player" is doing something unjustly, just report it up to support. They will be able to see if the player is on an excessive amount of time. Rank seems to be the excuse for an argument here an it does nothing for anyone but looks, ahem, good. To open a new thread about an unnamed player doesn't get anything done. The mods have a major thread about cheaters already that you could have put your rant into. Handle your business and get back to playing.

 

I believe your observation. I notice also that in my server global america 4..but sad to note bigpoint has not doing against this bots particularly in my server. Again and again their so called script to catch the bots fail somehow..

 

The Update to the T & C was done to catch things exactly like this and gives D O the legal ability to ban these accounts directly. The issue with PAID accounts is the legality of terminating a service that has been PAID for. This is part of the reason so many botters seem to be getting away with cheats as there needs to be a paper trail of warnings and actions taken before they can just terminate an account without giving the player recourse with their credit card company to charge back monies paid to D O.

In the case of SHARED accounts it has always been against the T & C and if the persons are coerced, to communicate in chat, that they are on so and so's account then it can be banned for just that reason. Sending date time and copy of chat to SUPPORT can assist with the termination process. Assuming it is not a household member where the IP Address will be the same as normal, in this situation it is harder to prove as it could be just someone trying to yank someone else's chain.

Thats the sad reality of this game..I just wish they will do really what they say..Even how many times they said they have remove bots but deep inside my heart I know that there is still people doing botting I know really..even..I an old player and not blind of whats happening..

Thank you all for assisting the user with their concern and with the helpful responses.

We do understand your frustration with bots/cheats however i'm afraid there is not much we can do about it here on the Forums or Chat regarding this issue. We know it's not what you want to hear, but Bots and any Third-party script will be detected by the scripts run by support, and from there any users who were detected shall receive the appropriate punishment.

The main reasons for this is;
a) Support scripts provide a fair single playing field.
b) Video evidence is not always conclusive and can be deemed unreliable.
c) The volume of reports would be unmanageable unlike a script which can do all the work.

This does not mean that support does not accept video evidence entirely, support will still accept video evidence for other issues (e.g. showing an exploit, showing a bug/glitch etc.), and in the case of screen shots Support encourages screen shots when reporting issues from chat or here in the Chat Board. Admissions to the use of Bots/Cheats/Account share will be dealt with appropriately.

Only when the Detection system has a chance to obtain evidence that shows the user(s) botted without a questionable doubt and is detected for using illegal programs their account will be terminated as posted in Removed Users for Illegal Software.
