    Hello,

I have started playing the game today, after many years not playing it. I was following the changes in the game for a long time, and I kinda like the way this game develops. :) Noticed the threads about the lag issues, but I didn't thought that the situation is so serious.

After starting to play on Global Europe 1, I have noticed that the game is really, really unplayable and not stable. I am able to play for 5 seconds, then I get total freeze for 15 seconds. Can't move, can't lock NPC/players, can't do anything. Can't even change a ship configuration. As it seems, the in-game NPC's are also freezing. I am not receiving any damage from them when the game is frozen. I remember back in the days, when the maps were full of players, the game didn't had such issues.

Was looking around another threads, and there seems to be no official statement from DarkOrbit / BigPoint team about the current game situation (please forgive me if I have missed it; I would love to read it if you share a link with me). All I have seen is players asking for the issues to be fixed, but no official statement. Though, I got really curious about the events going on in the game - how can there be events running, when the game is not playable at all? I kinda don't understand this logic.. Maybe, it is just me, don't know..

Anyways, anyone have any feedback on the lag issues? I mean, I don't plan to stay level 5 on my account for the next year.. :(

PS. This thread is not created for hating DarkOrbit / BigPoint. Just wanted to raise some discussion, and also take the attention of the DarkOrbit team to give us some official statement about these issues.

    Regards,
    Twinkle

  2. SOmetimes the browser or clearing the cache of your browser helps.. or try to use another browser bro, or select another server that best suited to your location in the world. It affects your gameplay if your too far away far gaming server. Use the recommended server during the creation of your new account.

Thanks for the feedback. I am from Europe, thus playing on Global Europe 1. Haven't tried other servers, but as Global Europe 1 is the most populated server, I wanted to go there. :)

Have tried clearing the cache and everything, but it doesn't help. Played from Firefox and Google Chrome, the lag is the same. Restarting network devices doesn't help too, meaning, the issue is not on my side, which is clear in most of the threads created under "Game / Technical issues" section. :)

  4. I'am from Asia and I played in Global Europe 1 too. I experienced lag/delay/freeze on all maps on that server from around 11:00 PM server time (6:00 AM of the next day in my time or just GE1 time + 7) to 5:30 AM server time (12:30 PM here). After the server restarts on 5:30 server time, all the lag/delay/freeze on all maps disappeared and I was able to play smoothly until 5:00 PM server time (12:00 midnight here) though I cannot assure that the lag/delay/freeze won't happen past 5:00 - 11:00 pm server time since I have been sleeping by those times.

    Hello Twinkle,

Thank you both for assisting the user with their concern. The issue has once been passed up and fixes were implemented but it seems the issues are still ongoing and have thus been passed up again. There is a current thread regarding this issue that has some feedback which we are keeping open at the moment for further updates.

    Your patience is greatly appreciated.

    Closing as answered.
