[UI] bots

I have an idea. Instead of lying to us by saying DO has detection scripts for bots, they should just let us kill the bots with no penalty. If you try to whisper them, it says they don't exist or aren't online, when all a mod would have to do is check the ban list to see if they are banned from chat. That's the only reason, other than them using a proxy server, to get that message. Otherwise the NPC bots are going to wreck the ranks, yet again, and we all start to quit again, like last time the bots took over. How can I as a "paying" customer, compete for rank, against a player that plays for 24 hours a day, killing npcs? And again, don't bother telling us there's detection scripts, cuz that's the biggest joke in the game....

 

They just need time to fix the bot problem.

There are scripts, that's not a lie. But maybe the scripts are not going to work well against some bots.

 

you do know you can disable chat in game right? maybe that's what i does?

yir bots are being banned by the script, but do have said they are having a hard time with this new bot, because it's dosn't follow the regular basic of a bot, so it's and entirely new script they need to make.

 

Why don't they just add moderators or helpers (or how ever you wanan call them) in the game, that check the players manualy on the map. If that moderator would work (so check the maps) 2h a day, he could ban, over 10 people per day. Is that simple to remove the bots. You don't need a script or anything, just log in the god.damn game and ban the bots....

The moderator or helper that is going to ban, ofc has to record a video first (maybe 10 min of following him around, pmming or shooting him etc.). If he continues to do that stuff even after that harasment etc. then he is a bot in my opinnion...

Thank you both for assisting the user. We understand your concern with this issue as we too are regular players, however there are very firm instructions that those users must be left to be detected by the scripts run by Support, a process which is fair for everybody. The main reasons for this is;

a) Support scripts provide a fair single playing field.
b) Reports/evidence is not always conclusive and can be deemed unreliable.
c) The volume of reports/bans would be unmanageable unlike a script which can do all the work.
