[SC] Have you noticed??

Most of our opinions are being removed from a Speakers Corner Thread, we used to be able to speak our opinions (good or bad) now only supportive comments are being left in the thread except a few who have the access to the Code.

Always thought "Speakers Corner" was where we could sound off without worrying about the posts being deleted, as long as we followed the forum rules. I see now that this is not true and our opinions of things seen in the "Unrevealed" thread are strictly informational/supportive ONLY. IF everything being posted, outside of the elite few having access to the CODE, is going to be deleted then why not close the thread as these people obviously have the power to access closed threads anyway.

The information in this thread drives controversy and WAS a good place to sound off about future changes to the game. We were also able to get others OPINIONS of what a change could mean, but not now, now we just get this spoon fed garbage without a voice directly linked to the topic at hand.

The landmark 10th birthday celebration was such a BUST they are now making great big hoopla about the 11th and how great it is going to be, but again it will be a dud, but god forbid we speak out about our lack of awe over the changes being seen in the code.

BUT will take heavy whites to get the end boss and take 3 hours to complete. It will be free however so no complaining.

 

Its not just the speakers forum where you see it. I have had posts deleted in various parts of the forum. Not that I have as much time anymore, or the drive to spend the time, but I now limit my 2 cents. I get very frustrated when a post I left is deleted and no reason is given. I have had one reason given that was referred to a T&C rule about posting after admin/mod gives a reply. I really need to look at them again as I don't know about that one.

 

I have seen this to some of mine also, after the MOD asked the OP if the were still experiencing the issue and I suggested another fix to the issue but was deleted instead of leaving it in case it might solve the problem. It is like we should be flooding SUPPORT with every issue hoping they will give us a solution other than "this is a known issue and will make announcement when we have a solution".

Have removed your statement regarding infiltration in the forums which is totally not true. We the Moderator Team are entrusted to keep the forums up to date, clean, and to help the community with anything pertaining to the game along with other stuff that may be resolved here before it needs a touch from Support/Dev's etc. The posts you may be inquiring about have been off topic, not helpful to the situation, or steering the thread to a different direction.

Would like to post examples of the deleted threads, but we know you an others have an idea of which they may be. This topic has been answered when you created a post in the private Chat section on Oct 7, 2017.

So please do not spread false statements. We are the moderator team and we are here to help.

 

Well the last batch of posts that were removed were in response to a post as mentioned and the entire community thoughts and feelings toward it was completely removed. WE have always had extra tolerance in the speakers corner as these topics seem to continue to expand and cover more items, especially UNOFFICIAL thread where it is receiving upcoming changes/enhancements/events notices and our feelings towards go in different directions. YOU also agreed with me that some of the threads are being closed unanswered and re-opened one (NOT MINE) that I brought to your attention in the same post you mentioned.

 

HelpMeHelpYou Didn't login here yesterday at the time you posted the thread so I wasn't able to read the removed section of your OP.

1) Besides the Moderation Team, the members are also allowed to help the players. Have seen people's comments being deleted (including mine) and yet, you don't tell us the reason you deleted it. And I'm not talking about telling us the reason on the thread, but on our inbox. Yeah you have the ability to send us the reason of deletion on the inbox, but you never use it. I can understand the "off-topic" and "steering the thread to a different direction" but don't tell me that you deleted comments because they weren't helpful to the situation.

2) If you are here to help then don't delete comments that don't violate the rules. Because negative comments about the upcoming updates on Unoficial: Darkorbit Revealed are constantly being deleted. I could mention countless more examples but you see, I have other things to do.

Lol yeah. Personally I don't have a very big ego so I simply laugh when posts my get deleted and I'm not being told why.

 

I admit the line removed DID deserve to be removed. It had to do with the NEW Owners of B P.

 

One of mine were similar but referred to a country, that I happen to love visiting. Actually it listed why something did not happen but it's ok since we can't expect to see something happen all the time. Also, I have gotten to have better communication with the mods since then, but sometimes I get to hunting what I have typed and deleted post are like that special grain of sand. It's gone and no mention of it.

I think of the MOD's job as my last, not current, one. It's a lot to do and very thankless. I am not surprised we only see the constant presence of few over the years.

 

When OP32 start to publish some "stuff" about the news like years ago ,the Mod's team used to delete all his post Now they don't care but they still used to delete some post when it becomes embarrassing...

I have to jump in here and let everyone know that was not the case.

Any posts I had removed on the old forums were done at the request of the development team, on the new forum (this current one) I asked for permission to create the thread and the moderator team forwarded my request to the dev team.
The only post I ever had removed was one which contained a link which the dev team didn't want public.


Now I have the luxury of being able to view deleted posts and to be honest I can only echo what Deter has already said with regards to the thread. I don't see anything malicious in the moderator's actions, I can assure you the moderators have all the same criticisms of the game that the players do, so they are not trying to hide things which players say they don't like.
