[UI] Forum Post Maximum

How about mandate a Forum post maximum. Perhaps 5 per week. This way we are all spared the reading of posts by certain individuals who believe they must blog something to everything.
Often even with multiple posts within the same topic. While these individuals may believe they have all the answers, along with the only good ideas, many of us don't buy into there all knowing oracle mindset. We also pray for rest from their picture and names plastered everywhere.

Our apologies, we try to stay on top of the off topic and spam posts, but we do volunteer our time and sometimes we can not always be around at that moment to deal with these issues.

There is always the report button you may use. I'll try to keep my off topic posts away

 

Sir it is not you. It's an impossibility to post anything here that is left totally alone. However not one of those whom I talk about will even touch this because I hit home. Look at other posts. Most will have a handful of individuals, one in particular that will be on every one. Should it not be obvious I'll gladly call them out.

 

Some players don't really want help or get upset when they are not agreed with. Most seem to start a thread and never respond back after getting feedback no matter who left it, mod or player. I find it sad that someone would not want to see that there are players out there willing to lend a hand when people are in need. Some players start a thread on a daily basis; where would they be with this restriction. Anyone that does not want to see players helping out in any fashion have a choice not the come to the forums. It is all of our forums to use, and I personally take offense to the suggestion of limiting players input from anyone. I don't always like what a players says in the forum, like this suggestion but I would never say you can't suggest anything.

I don't understand why someone would want to limited a person. I hope it isn't because you don't like some people. This is a Forum a PUBLIC FORUM. We are in a society where free speech, ideas, and thought are asked and express. To limit any of these is suppressive and controlling. Yes, topics are side tracked sometime, but I weed them out and look for the topic I started or others started. I enjoy reading other's ideas, and sometimes it creates' new ideas and new threads.

Yes, there are people who answer all or most Posts. I feel we are lucky to have them here. I find myself in here more than playing the game because there are so much information here to learn and understand. For myself I'm thankful for them. In fact I have read and answer your posts too. Not just this one either. If you got limited by your rules, then I would miss your thoughts and comments. That is wrong, very wrong, because you have good posts too.

I know this is kind of long, but please bear with me. Looking at the Post List, you will see ##'s of views, but replies are not as many. There are the few who took their time to answer that person's Post. They have given themselves to the person that created the Post. Right or Wrong they have spent their time for that Person. Time they can't get back for other things. I thank them for all the help and knowledge they pass on not to me to the people they try to help.

Helpmehelpyou you are correct. You are the one. I also knew it was just a matter of time before you showed up because you can't leave anything alone. Yes I hope they limit posts, mine included. The 17, if you're correct, was in most part counterpoint to yours and I am not even close to what you have put on. I do not mind other opinions that agree or disagree, however myself and others go tired that it is always yours. While lately I have been active at it, I am not the only one who has called you out For those who believe I do this only to limit people, or I'm not thankful for help, you misunderstand me. I just hate to see a Forum run by moderator and overrun by one player.

Looking at your post above one would be hard pressed to find help of any kind there. Looks more like a direct argument. Looks like your angry and harbor hatred.

No doubt you do as my point is you never stop. However, this looks like it could be a threat or attempt to intimidate me with these extra words. I do so pray that if you ever find a way to express them we can be face to face.

 

Well if you need more opinions that you do not mind, then I might add one right here.

First of all, limiting posts will kill all of the forums. If you didn't know, there's some languages already removed due to inactivity, as all the activity are usually on German forums and English forums, not sure about others. You see that this forum isn't that active either. Might be possible that Discord "killed" this forum, because most of the announcements comes nowadays there and even faster, in real-time + you can direct message basically with anyone and get in touch faster with Community Managers, Moderators and Developers. It seems the reason why these forums still exist, it's because of not everybody is in the DarkOrbit's Discord server or not using Discord at all. TeamSpeak still rules in the VOIP usage.

Secondly, what's wrong with Help's opinions? He knows a lot of stuff, offers the help and opinions regardless of negative or positive, are not forbidden as long as they follow the general forum rules, especially in here, Update & Idea pool.

And lastly, out of curiousity, you mentioned "you are the one", might I be the second or third?

 

Thanks for your input. Don't necessarily disagree with your post. My problem is allowing one person to ramble on here like an overactive bladder. Never getting off the stool. Never comes up for air and frankly, unless they're living with moma, could not possibly find time to play the game with what they spend on here. I know as I have personally spent more time on here than I would like. Also , in all honesty, most of it on my part and others has not been to benefit anyone! That goes to further prove that it's not help that they are on here for. You, nor did your pal, post here to assist anyone. You did so only to argue with me and I returned favor! As to your last question: anything is possible.
