[TI] My lasers are not working

What are they doing? What server? When was the last time it worked correctly? Did you check to be sure you have lasers on the config, both configs? I have more but this is a good start....

 

I'm guessing lasers just don't shoot. It looks like a single volley was shot then they stop. If fired again, the attack is first cancelled then the same shooting animation repeats but without firing a single round.
Could look as having no ammo... but probably not the reason. From my experience it usually resolves after a few hours but sometime could take much longer. Doesn't look like it's strongly related to server load.

 

IF the settings have not been set to change ammo type when you run out this will happen and the reason for a couple of hours is you have the Auto Buy CPU and the Uridium was too low to buy until there is enough then it will not buy or give you enough ammo to fire again.

Try selecting another type of ammo and see if that fires properly, also hovering the mouse over the ammo icons will allow you to see the quantities you have.

 

I'm using credit ammo, auto Ammo CPU buyer set to buy LCB, and enough credits for almost 3 billion LCB rounds.
At the time of a glitch, I surely checked all of my ammo an none was close to zero.
In another thread I described what happened in VoT, but the post got deleted for some reason. Point is, the NPCs weren't shooting at me as well and I doubt they have to buy ammo and set Ammo CPU properly.

 

I responded to that post (and also was deleted) and it sounds like you are dealing with a connection or flash issue. I have seen this a few times while using Portals and find I had to relog to get anything to work again. First time I flew around the map for 15 minutes not finding a single target to kill, returned to the portal and was told I was not at portal and could not jump, so I logged out and back in and everything was fine.

 

There are other possibilities as well .... The following questions need to be asked as well
1. is your internet connection a LAN or Wireless set-up ?
2. are you using a satellite provider such as Cox Network / X-infinity /Dish Network / Direct /Comcast ?
3. how many Tabs/Windows do you have open ?
4. do you clear your cookies and cache ?
5. What are the weather conditions during the 'glitch' ?
6. are you on a shared WiFi network public or personal home network?
My point is , if you are using a wireless connection you may be experiencing what I call is a 'hiccup' or intermittent loss of your internet connection. These 'moments' are a drastic loss of data speeds between your comp and the DO website.
these up and down spikes in data transfer speed is called Latency or the length of time in milliseconds. The more users on
the network the slower your comp . This can interfere with your flash-player.
The conditions you just described above happened to me last night when some of the guys and decided to do the LoW-Gate for kicks again to see if any changes were made . There was more data download from DO than my WiFi/Router could transmit to my laptop so I lost visual of lasers , mine and the NPC's and I finally got the popup window letting me know I died.

 

I know the situation - as I said my deleted post about this happening in VoT probably created a bit of misunderstanding.

1. my internet is LAN
2. it's a land VDSL line
3. only 2 windows, I "pull" the gamepage tab and it detaches into a separate window (Chrome)
4. well, not regularly as I used to.
5. pretty cold day
6. nope, I avoid public shared WiFi networks like a plague

Sure, I understand your point completely. That's why I filled your questionnaire.
But my point is that this happened in VoT, and before that in ToT, so I assume it's related to server being overwhelmed but my post got deleted. Must admit that I experienced something similar outside VoT/ToT extremely rarely and did the usual drill of clearing, which usually didn't help. The thing corrected itself after few hours without any intervention on my side.

 

I also forgot to mention that my cpu is temperature protected during extreme flash drive peaks . As HelpMeHelpYou provided

I wouldn't be too concerned until it becomes an everyday event . on a final note for Stateside users our isp providers are already employing data caps during certain times of a 24 hr time period since the FCC now has repealed Net Neutrality. Now telecommunications and cable companies will be allowed to price various online activities that use bandwidth at different rates of speed connections.

Interesting this can explain,my problems that com on and off and not just that i play in 3d but is not god for that .My ship can move from 1 side 2 another and i just wonder if i kill myself lol ,and special in GG 80 lin if i get to close hope the problem vill be smaller
