[UI] UBA BETS

I have an idea.

I wanted to BET money while playing against other players, so could it be some option when i enter the UBA that i could load money into my account, and place a 5 dollar or 100$ bet against my opponent.. darkorbit could take the tranfer fee and tax.

 

Betting real money would create so many legal problems making it a non starter.

 

How does "So many legal problems" arise from something that is legal to do? it could be a free battle arena match for rank points and ship kills, and it could be a option to bet money against other players?... ur using your own money, and i'm sure a minimum limit of funds one can withdraw would be introduce.. it's fair game.. and attracts more players that don't want to play for free or waste money but actually spend big bucks to win it back, darkorbit first generation of gamers are adults now, and the next generation are going to be more adults playing then children so it's fair to me

Some Question i left out that if it actually taken serious the devs of it would put these steps into this anyway.

Not 2 mention darkorbit gets to take a small amount of the earnings that 1,000s of adult players would be competing against one another.

Not to burst your bubble, but let's not forget the reason why Jackpot Arena was removed. Real money being involved and cheats/exploits used to manipulate the chances of other users winning .

 

Do not forget the fact that 10,000 euro is a lot of money. I would not be surprised if it was a matter of: ''Mhh... this event earns us a couple thousands euros a month but costs us 10,000 euro a month. What happens if we remove the 10,000 euro? Aah right we still earn thousands of euros a month by galaxy gates. "

And thus the end of JPA...

Not ment to be rude or anything but just some things to take into consideration.

Who would even pay the other 100 dollars if you would win? Besides, this is just almost straight out gambling as you never know what you're up against (upgrades, lasers) and even if you do: what are the odds that your opponent will accept the challenge if you are willing to bet a 100 bucks on their loss... Not to even mention the hit probability that completely destroys any reliable outcome based on the level of skill.

 

Lets all face the fact that its never coming back for now.... why not make it in our own community of players .
everyone can gather and have an agreement and one player decides to step there little foot up inside and ruin
it all for everyone . Tho it would be amazing how lit it would be every Sunday and watching the players going
head to head on a live broadcast . Question really is when will the cheating and exploits stop; terms and conditions say it all
we all signed it and agreed when we decided to log into this game they are still being used. Up till day many of the things we really enjoy playing for wont be here .

 

Yes , Folks could run their own Pod-Cast or Live-Stream . Have a bunch of friends over and what goes on on their side of the screen well that would be between themselves ... Call it Sponsorship Fees ... All they need to remember is that DO could run a Script Catcher and do a Bust

 

remember guys that some country have rules against gambling. betting any kind of money that result to gambling is prohibited.

On a note: Even though I can host a Party , hire a person to perform a job description , then pay that person for services rendered. For example: Hosting a New Years Eve Party where guests contribute to the funding of the Party. Now to Hosting a DO Party to include Entertainment/Broadcasting a Pod-Cast or Live Stream . I can sit in the 4-4 map and watch 2-3-4 ships go at each other all day long . Is that Pushing? or watch a CBS war where there can be 50 or so ships duke it out. That stuff is all over YouTube and certain players already run Live-Steam on their own channels and live in different countries. Something to think about

 

Maybe you could bet the virtual currency that is stored on accounts? I.e Jckpt euros Then exchange it for in shop items...

 

The whole issue that is being forgotten is that CHEATERS thrive in D O. ANY Tournament arena would have to be CLIENT Based Server removing any BROWSER/COMPUTER influence to the programming. The only things allowed would be keyboard/mouse strokes/movements and would probably have to be recreated every time they ran it just to prevent the HACKERS from creating their ways around the server firewalls.

Cheaters ruined the JPA, have started to ruin the UBA, and will ruin this arena also. You want to gamble then set up a PRIVATE third party CLUB who will record all designated battles and award the winnings to the appropriate person(s), but to have anything to do with D O I do not see happening in the near future, I see JPA being reworked before a new gambling arena is opened.

 

You folks are missing the thought ... DO is a Gambling site . The T&C are obsolete ... BossCitizen suggested a thought using a toolbar folder aka the UBA to promote an income of funds for all entry's and DarkOrbit cannot provide that platform of Gambling legally under International Law ... The dang toolbar is the biggest glitch lag that the Developers conceived and the Mods were sent instructions to the Coders that employ 2 different sets of Coding .... 1 is for Premium and 2 is for non Premium accounts . What can you do to earn an Income playing DarkOrbit as a source of income besides selling accounts that were and are Illegally obtained thru DarkOrbit according to DarkOrbits Terms and Conditions .... Answer the above .... Then become a Gamer ... If ever DarkOrbit can ever figure out want to , how to ... Until the Front page is Code Set everything else will never work ....
