I'm currenty playing on us1 server as an MMO player, without a clan.

As you can see, I have a special relationship with the BigBoy ship : in 2012, I became Major with this ship (at that time the BB still had 7 lasers only and 128k HP).

What I suggest :

Our technicians found a way to increase your generators.
With these 10% speed bonuses, and the ability "Energy Leech" that will steal HP of your enemy to your ship, you will now be able to follow older folks.

Speed : 410.1.1 = 451 (without refining so you got approximately a Goliath speed [can be down to 450 if needed]).
Energy Leech : you steal 5.000 HP of your enemy and get it to your ship. You have to attack with your lasers to activate your ability.
You can use it with the tech center leech at the same time.
Length : 10 seconds.
(So you will steal 50.000 HP max)
Cool down : 1 min 30 (but it can be changed by BigPoint).

The fact that it works with lasers means that an EMP-01 can stop the ability (even JAMX) like with other ships.

For the design we can use the same colors of the Lava Spectrum.

Price : since BigBoy is a spaceship you can buy with credits, I think that it could be better to buy it with real money.
So the price would be like the D-Raven, it means 4,99$.

The problem is that there's no amount of leach you can give that is going to stop ring from being hard-countered by the moth formation. Due to this reason updating a ship like this over the Leonov is an insult to me plus having a built-in energy leech tech is a rip off to the tech itself.

Since BigBoys have fewer slots and less "utility" with designs than a Goliath, I don't see this happening unfortunately which is a shame because I actually like the idea of bringing back some older ships back into this very stale meta.

But don't forget that it was the second most powerfulll ship after Goli and nowadays nobody rides with it, it's just bad

 

DO has a history of shaking things up with ships that most won't use. Its all nostalgic, which I just love. My time is split between the Bigboy and Nostro variants so of course I am all for this. There is the Goli-X with its freeze ray, so people can't really complain about a ship having an ability that there is already something made for. I could really use this while grinding away, and it would fit good in my credit ship fleet. Hmm, could even be my designated pirate killing ship with that energy leech.

 

This is just straight up not true. The Goliath has always been and still is one of the strongest ships within the game. The Vengance, BigBoy & Leonov all had their time of being strong but simply have been replaced by the new ships, not because they got nerfed or became worse.

While the Leonov is still one of the best starting ships, it's PvP combat is awful.

I had to break it to you, but the BigBoy was never a very commonly seen ship regardless, it was purchased by players who couldn't afford the Leonov, Vengance or Goliath.

 

Well I like the idea, perhaps making the energy leach 100% laser damage to run static instead of bein an activated ability. I also wouldn't mind seeing this ship have 100% shield penetration with lasers as long as only the lasers the ship holds are used and not adding them to drones.

 

Hmm leonov came long after, you know when there wan't pilot sheet, Vengeance where the ship to flee but with a BB u could kill some Goli

 

No its true. I don't count the BigBoy in this statement as I use it, alot, and a lot of others on the credit end of the spectrum. Unfortunately the ships I am referring to are the Raven, Ronin, Yomata, Defcom, and any other ship that used to be, or are still, for real cash only.

I agree with you about the Goliath, in its various forms, is the strongest ship in the game. That is why I don't us it on this account. Most players jump into it after a few hours of playing as they figure out they can buy uri. Its so sad. I apologize, I don't really mean to bash. I use the various forms of the Goliath on my other account, sometimes two or three of them in a day.
