[SC] Magmadrill vs lvl 16 LF4

In reply to the closed thread ,,when you exchange a magmadrill what is the point if its not exchange a lvl 1 lf4 ..support do not answer and give everyone cockahoop answer.

I want to know what lvl lf4 is exchanged for a magmadrill and have a few questions

1/if a magmadrill is useless compared to a lvl 16 lf4 (as it seemed to be said in previous thread) Why did the devs make them?

2/Or is the exchange for a lvl 1 lf4? and then it is usefull?

NEEDS clearing up i think because no one seems to know why if it exchanging a lv 16 lf4

Hello AVIT,

The LF-4 Enhancement faq' states;

 

When you craft a Magmadrill LF-4 (or any of the 3), the assembly system will only use a lvl 1 LF-4. If all of your LF-4s are lvl 2, for example, you will not be able to craft one of the new LF-4s.

1. I didn't state that the new LF-4s are useless, I simply stated that the difference is small. For the end-game (UFEs; UUFEs) they are an improvement and something to aim for (otherwise what would they/we aim for!).

2. Once you are of a good level, and upgrading LF-4s is a worthy use of your Uridium, upgrading an LF-4 to a new LF-4 is arguably cheaper than upgrading it to Lvl 16. (Especially as though the items needed come as you just play the game, doing daily quests etc.).

the confusing thing for me and many is the enhanced lf4 1 ,why not just simply say the magma ,hypers etc are the enhanced ones supposedly ?but no where near as good as a level 16 lf4 .

I must add also ,this directed to other players ,in my case the exchange is random as i have experienced LF4 lvl6 dissapearing from ship when exchanging ,,but yh im allways picked on as a special case .

 

I'm not entirely sure what you mean here but the enhanced LF-4s are the same as lvl 16 LF-4s but with additional damage/hp in certain cases (see spoiler for details).

Spoiler: Specific stats

Lvl 16 LF-4 = 212 base damage
Magmadrill LF-4 = 212 base damage (+5 extra for PvP [217])
Paritydrill LF-4 = 212 base damage (+5 extra for PvE [217])
Hyperplasmoid LF-4 = 212 base damage (+0.5% extra HP)

Also, I haven't heard of a non-lvl 1 LF-4 being selected for the crafting when a lvl 1 LF-4 is available. A few things to answer:
1. Did you have any lvl 1 LF-4s at the time?
2. Did you have any Lvl 1 LF-4s off your ship at the time?

If you answer "No." to both of those then we have a bug I will investigate in the meantime.

 

To clear things up;

1. Comparing the Level 16 LF-4 to the Enhanced you will not see any difference (as I tried to explain in the other thread)
2. Crafting them saves you the Uridium to UPGRADE the LF-4 to Level 16 but gives the power of a FULLY Upgraded LF-4
3. Crafting will use the LOWEST LEVEL LF-4 in the INVENTORY and it is stupid to Craft UPGRADED LF-4's even though the system WILL

Confusion may come from the statement, "Have an Available LF-4" as this could be just the Basic LF-4 being owned or that it has to be in the OPEN (unequipped) Inventory, but that you can NOT use an already Enhanced LF-4 to create a different type. IF using the 100% chance with the Premium, Rebate, and Upgrade Bonus Hour Discounts just 1 LF-4 costs 54,731 Uridium to get Level 16 (or 104250 without any discounts).

 

1 - its useless for PVE, for PVP its the best since it's meant for that...

2 - as said it uses the lowest level lf4 avaliable because some people would use their lvl16 lf4 "by mistake" and bother support...
