[SC] Good BYE D O Forums

Even though I have been on target with many of my posts I see one of the Moderators likes to repeat what I have said and delete my posts and even deletes them when I have included the links to the information the OP has requested.

I know I have had a mixed reaction to some of my ideas and opinions but the information I have provided has been very helpful to those looking for the assistance. I currently have my entire list of alerts showing I have responded to the threads but yet there is no posting in the thread as this moderator has deleted it.

IT is a major slap in the face to see the moderator write exactly what you wrote and they delete your response from the thread.

I have a lot of other things I could be doing other than making a post that is deleted for no reason.

I'm so sorry. DO is LOSING a very valuable and knowledgeable person. I who have rely upon your sage wisdom many times will miss that. I have read post of people who chastise you, but they are wrong most of the time because they see it a different way. Opinions are like the dark hole and most of them stink. DO get your head out of a the "dark hole" and request Help to stay.

I for one will miss his advice and his words on the DO Forum. I don't see him anywhere else except here, and here is a place that people should be able to talk, express ideas, and ask for help. DO you say this place is a safe place to talk and express yourself show IT.

You have censer me for words that are common in everyday language, newspapers, and TV. The music young kids listen too have worst language I ever used here. Yet you block it out. Well that is ok for me because I don't want to offend some weak soul. I have fun here and learn a lot. It if wasn't for HELP or a few others I would have long ago stop writing my questions. For I knew "Help" was on its way no matter how silly the question was because they don't judge but help LIKE HELP! Help and Odin are the DO help line for all pilots. I see their hand in most posts, and DO you are losing one. The ones that CHASTISE Help the most are the ones who are a day late and a dollar short. It is because he (HELP) takes the wind out of their sails with complete answers and different approach on the person's question. So that person can understand and try different ways to do what they want to do. When your are right you are right. It is kind of useless to repeat what was said the best way but other's due.

Help you have a friend here and I wish you well. Fly safe and hope to see you in the black.

For those that are glad about this. As one Famous Space Doctor said, "They are not running on all thrusters" and yet they are trying to run a well respected person out of this site. The person who like the post of Help and clicked "Like This" maybe one of them. Why like something that a person is showing his regret for people who plagiarize his work and delete his work so he isn't cited with the help.

Help don't leave. As we said on my last ship USS Nashville LPD 13 "[REMOVED] and feed them Hot Dogs!"

O why can't´persons like Help leave DO in (maybe with 1 hurt hart )is only for the simple reason that they are so skilled and not
just keep the information for them self .

@WarriorAngus and @spy-girl thank you for the kind words but as my issue is now with the Moderators, I will be removing myself until I get the formal apology for their plagiarism and deletion of my researched responses, to questions asked. The community haters were just water off my back or fuel to the fire depending on the persons words. But as a Moderator removes posts (not just questionable words) and after they have been reinstated via a post in the CHAT section of the forum the person still continues to remove them I quit.

The other item you may want is the Dark Orbit Bible (which is in the FAQ Index) these are the 2 items that helped me the most as a newbie back in 2009, and I still reference them in many embedded links in my responses.

Well I got slapped again because I wrote one letter followed by ***** with two more letters. I thought it would be OK writing it this way, but I was wrong. I want to say I'm sorry to those that took offence to it. I meant no harm. It was a ship's expression I was re-stating.

Those who haven't been in the military and served their country are enjoying the sacrifice that we made so you can do what you do. If I/we cross the line with our language, give us a little break. Because some of us lost our family, time, body parts and even our lives so you can live in the comfort of your home.

Help, I hope I didn't hurt your case with the language I used. I didn't want to seem rude. There are people who care very little for others. I was caught up in my writing and was outrage by you post. Still there are more that think they are the rightest ones too, but they or no better then anybody else. They have the power and they want to wheel it. It kind of remind me of a few Dictators. WE ALL TRY TO BE THE BEST. Some of you here really fall short. I'm glad for those who are here and sadden for those that will leave us.

@Odin® I have created threads in the CHAT section and called the MOD out, getting one deleted post re-listed. I have also reported the same MOD for providing an incomplete answer, but this MOD seems to think her **** does not stink and as such I can not see wasting my time typing, linking, and researching my posts to see this MOD write the exact same thing just before she deletes my accurate post. I tried to quit the Forums a dew months ago and found I was lured back into creating answers with the push from @Deter but even with him following me to see my posts it seems I can not win. I still read the NEW posts and if I can give a quick response without any research or linking I still pop in but again the long responses are limited to the FEW people who have enjoyed my input as seen in this thread.

I've been here 10 years since my first ship. I've watched the decline of the game, the forums, the level of integrity amongst the players.. you name it.. everything has gone down. Even the cost to compete due to DO's unrepentant stance on protecting cheaters. Chat has the new report function that doesn't work for squat. Bullies rule chat; verbally abusing players.. repeat offenders log into new ships to avoid the ban and DO does NOT enforce the rules. The forums continue to be "my way or the highway" and dissenting opinions are often outright deleted rather than being addressed. I truly wonder if the owners of Bigpoint understand what has gone on; why there used to be 1000+ active players on a server like US West during SB and now you are lucky to have 50 actual ships playing and not being piloted by software. They fiddle while Rome burns. It's a game.. for sure. But a game that some of us have invested thousands of hours and thousands of actual dollars into it over 10 years. It's horrific to see it all coming to a screeching end. New players regularly are driven out of the game by bullying. Moderators have overt biases. Bullying players scoff at the idea that ANYONE from DO will enforce any rules; and they are right! So with all this being said, it's no surprise that Help is having the issues that "he" is having (assuming there).. many of us long term players that still want things to be fair and legit have ZERO faith in support, admins, moderators, etc. ABSOLUTELY NONE. In fact, not only do I think they have no credibility, I believe they are completely dishonest. 10 years I've been here, seen it all, and that is where I stand. Sorry you got shafted Help.. but it isn't unexpected at this point... at all.

 

To follow someone

1. Click their name or Avitar
2. This opens their Profile page and there you will find the "Follow" click it.
3. If you are already following them it is "Unfollow"

To "Like" a post

1. At the bottom of each posting in a thread you see

• left - name, date / time
• right- posting number (in thread), "Like", "Reply"
• click the "Like" and this adds your name to the Like list
• click the "Reply" and it adds the post (inside a blue box) so the person you are responding to knows it was to them, you can also edit what is quoted (as I did), just get out of the QUOTE before typing your response

Help you did it again. I have learn two things today because of you.

With my background you think I'm a tech nerd. 20 years of advance electronics in the navy, and 10 in the private sector as a production Supervisors of electronic. I just never went the extra step. I email, but I don't face book, tweet, or anything else you can do with a computer or phone. Not to long ago I learn Texting.
