[GI] Beyond Ridiculous now!

Guys come on what is going on lol? Every single map on our sever is literally swarming with bots! There are so many right now in 3-7 that my screen lags out!
What are you doing about this and please dont tell me about some script you run as clearly nothing is being done!
All these hundreds and hundreds of players making uri 24/7 makes me wonder whats going on with this game now.
Has bp given up trying to stop them now?
Feels like the entire server are all doing it except for me! How do i compete with this?
It really is horrendous in the maps right now.

 

think they are milking it before they will shut it down so no ban and keeping traffic at maximum as banning will clearly reduce it.
they already shut down bsgo which i thought was much better and also the whole server merge has not been that impressive.
i would be careful to even spend a penny on this game now but because i got a decent acc i log in just to have fun but unfortunately it does feel like darkorbit is in its final stages before shutting down

 

It is bad especially when trying to do the timed NPC quests.

You get a bunch gathered up and next thing you know a bot or two comes along and pops all the ones you're not shooting at.

Then spend what time is left just flying around trying to find the NPC you're looking for that isn't shot already.

 

To me, it seams obvious that Big Point has shares in the bot programming company. (or are the developers)

Why else would this RIP OFF of game resources, Uri, ammo. gate spins, rewards etc be allowed to continue for so long?

They can't say that wallet warriors spend more to keep up because there just isn't enough live players anymore to facilitate this.

Bots have always been an issue on every server but believe it or not, it's actually not as bad as it has been in the past. They change client updates and run scripts regularly to catch them but the problem they are facing is because this is a mostly javascript ran game it's very difficult for them to ban people reliably without false alligations leading to lawsuits the company could do with avoiding.

The other main issue they have is that sueing bot owners is costly to Bigpoint since they are in Germany, so they usually just try to catch it with script instead of the developer themself. Although, I don't understand why they don't put up legal rights against the websites that are being used to give out this software, since it's still a clear breach of terms and conditions.

I don't think they have given up to stopping them. It's just that they don't really know how to go about it since so many people do it.

The best way would be to make DarkOrbit a downloadable game since they can mointor the issue a lot more closely if they changed how some of the coding works.

Problem is it probably wont happen any time soon sadly, we're all sick of bots.

 

Maybe game needs to add PvB to the PvE & PvP.

We get bonus for blasting bots.

New quest: Kill 100 bots in x-2.

 

Easiest solution to the (current) bot problem would be to get rid of Flash.

Make the game downloadable.

 

i myself have declared a holy war on bots. i got really aggravated doing the gazillion pirate quests in 5-2. Thus Endeth The Sermon.
