  1. I have had some issues with lag and low fps. I just recently decided to downgrade all my settings to "low" and that has practically tripled my fps. However I am seeking any good info on how I can increase fps without sacrificing graphics quality.
Do graphics cards work with browser games ?
My internet connection is rated at 200Mbs/sec and I use Opera with no extensions or add ons.
All my connections are hardwired and not wi-fi.
Please reply with any other useful options available which I have not considered .

This is a flash game. It does not use multicore CPU or GPU. It's a crying shame for sure. What you have done changing your settings is all I know to do for better performance in this really old, never updated game. Oh, by never updated I mean the game engine, not the junk content. I hope it improves but losing faith in that possibility.

  3. I saw in forum that Chrome was no longer supporting Flash and I was wondering if an HTML5 can be use instead and if so how hard would it be to switch?

That is really a question for BigPoint / DarkOrbit game devs, it isn't something you can do, the game code would need to be changed.

  5. I tried to run with GPU and without GPU(only using processor with integrated graphics) and i can assure you, that GPU affects fps a lot. With only integrated graphic, fps rate was around 40 fps on low settings while with GPU, game was smooth on high settings.

    Hello @STARLIGHTHUSTLE ,

The dev team is working on a solution to the Flash EOL (End of Life) problem that is coming up at the end of 2020. Performance wise, it is dependent on your hardware specs (CPU, GPU, etc) among other things.

As it is a flash based game, clearing your cache and flash cache every so often can help improve performance.

Do you have any further questions or can we close?

  7. Since I am only moderately computer literate I will assume that GPU refers to graphics program. If that is the case then is there one you would recommend .
I clear my cache every time I log on and as far as my PC , I would have to post its specs to get some objective opinions.
I will check this thread on a daily basis and would appreciate some time left open for further replies or suggestions until I OK to close .
If you like you can move the thread to "Speakers Corner " as long as it's left open a little longer.
    TY

Have you made sure Hardware Acceleration is turned on? It can improve performance if your specs are good enough

    Hello @STARLIGHTHUSTLE ,

While we can not recommend specific specs that would work best, your processor is an AMD A8 model from 2012, with integrated graphics. This may be why you are experiencing issues with performance.

  12. OK , I do TY for the feedback. I'll see what I can on my end .
    OK to close.
