Can you add Prismatic shields to any ship? If so, is there a downside to add them. And how do you get them. Thanks for your time.

  2. Uhm if you are really pertaining to the actual name "Prismatic Shields" well I'm here to say that it can't be equipped into ships since its not an equipment but rather it is a skill of the ship "Spectrum" which reduces 1) all laser damage of enemy players 2) all alien damage by 80% for 30 seconds and cooldown of 1min and 30 seconds for the expense of -50% laser damage you deal to other enemies/aliens as long as the skill is active.

PS. Who knows maybe in the future they would add a new shield like that hehe

Unless you mean backup shields from Tech center or shield mechanics or shield engineering from the skill tree which can all be used on any ship.

I believe what you mean is the maxed shield engineering pilot bio skill. A link to the pilot bio and descriptions is found here: http://www.bigpoint.com/darkorbit/board/threads/pilot-bio-skill-tree-faq.1224/. If you scroll down it describes it at max as "*This skill gives a visual effect when maxed, of a Bubble shield effect."

Alternatively, it could be shield mechanics maxed which describes it as "*This skill gives a visual effect when maxed, White shielding affect."
