[GI] Apis repair/destruction - please clarify?

In the Apis FAQ's it says it will be destroyed after 100x being popped.

I was just wondering though, why in the same section does it say you can repair the drone (either with the CPU or manually)? What does repairing it do and what is the point, if it's only good for 100 pops? Repairing doesn't seem like it would extend its life, just bump the drone down a level maybe. Why would you repair it, or am I missing something?

there are 6 levels to a drone if you get your drone to level 6 and if u pop 100 times you will lose that drone and have to buy with uri ..again where if u rep it lets say at 50% your drone drops to level 5 and the counter starts at 0 again and then you just have to level it up to level 6 again .. and with it been the apis drone if that pops you have to find another 45 parts or pay other 1mill uri to get it back


with the upgrade system you have another level which reaches level 16 at a cost all in on uri about 104k so if you get your drone to lvl 6 and upgrade it to lvl 16 it could cost all that again if it pops

note: never let any drones get to 100% cos bang on 100% they pop 98 i think is the highest % of dmg it can take before it pops at 100%

 

But after being popped 100 times, the Apis is completely destroyed no matter what, right?

So is there any point in repairing it? I guess I'm confused about why repairing is mentioned with it at all...it won't make it last any longer or anything, will it?

YES their is a point if you wont to let your apis pop wonce it reached 100% you will not get it back if its a lvl 6 & lvl16 u lase the uri u spent on it to lvl it up to 16 pluse drone you have to start from scrach as if you repair them at total damige 90% to lvl five you get to keep your drone you give your self 20 pops more b4 you have to repair your drones again hope that hlps otherwize look in dark orbit bible u find your aswers their its a great hlp for noobs

 

You have to look further than just the popped 100 times. The Apis drone, like all the other drones, can be repaired, be it by uri, or repair credits. Also, have a repair cpu on both configs of the ship for "just in case." Once you repair it, the count starts all over. Over the course of playing, as long as you repair it before it reaches 100%, you can be popped millions of times and keep the Apis. Don't read into it, don't let it stress you out and don't let it over 95%. On my main, I repair all drones at 95%, including Apis and Zues. I am not sure how many times I have popped in total but I am sure it is well over 100 times after getting the A & Z drones. Enjoy...

I'm not a noob, but I'm clearly an Apis noob. Had a completed drone drop in a booty box last LF4 day - given my luck getting LF4's I think this evens things up a bit.

I was just reading the Apis Faq's weird for some reason. This makes a lot more sense.

I run the repair CPU on all ships, both configs, so no worries.
