[GI] Are there updates from past testings?

Whatever happened to the bulk or one-shot upgrade feature?
It seemed not bad, but never made it past the test server stage.
... or is that a premium feature only?

 

Can you expand on your question? What is that?

 

There had been on the test server a trial of a faster upgrade process.
Units to be upgraded (lasers, shield gens, rocket launchers, modules) could be selected en masse, the number of levels to upgrade could be set and if the player had the uridium to cover the upgrade, the upgrade occurred within short seconds of confirmation.
This was back around when the idea of having access to the hangars on the client screen was tested.

 

There were too many issues with the "Equipment In Client" Upgrade and they put it on the back burner as too many people thought it was not right. They instead upgraded the Hangar Portion of that MAJOR UPDATE as they needed to do that for the NEW Cosmetic Ship Designs they wanted to be able to SELL.

 

Was kinda hoping they could have allowed that upgrade section to be used and have it communicate back to the backpage hangar.
Maybe someday.
