[GI] Auction time?

I used to play this game a few years back and from what i remember auction always reset on the hour. Now i started playing again (on GE7) and the auction finished on the 25th minute of each hour- 10:25 for example.

Why is this?

 

It was done to avoid mass bids by bots across all servers at the same time - it was a fairly big problem when the new auction came out but rarely see it anymore. Every server has a slightly different time that auction ends now, so it has been done on purpose.

Thank you Okapi32 for assisting the user with their concern.

As per Patchnotes - November2014, Auctions: Auction end times have been re-scheduled and now start and end at different times on different servers. E.g.: Server 1 = 00:00, Server 2 = 00:05, Server 3 = 00:10 and so on. The auction time have set to end at various times on each server. This was done intentionally and therefore there is nothing that needs to be changed where auction times are concerned.

Now it just sucks that the main server I play on is lucky to still be at the top of the hours.
