[GI] auction

Well it seams the anti auction bot system is acting like a clitch. Shows up then ask you to type the words seen. Then as you start type it changes the words. Then it takes over 30 sec. to tell you your not a bot. This whole little thing took 1 1/2 min. of the last 1min. and 40 sec. of the auction. If thats not a bug nothing is.

 

Go into the Auction about 5 minutes before it ends place bids on the Boosters, you will be outbid. Then when the Captcha hits you have time to place the bids you really want to get. I have recently started seeing this ONE time per Hourly Auction and placed bids on everything except the ACM mines, Single Cloak, Rep 3 Bot, Ships/Designs (I own them all), and Iris (I have 8) and was even able to do my last ditch bidding.

Also there is nothing in the rules saying you can not have multiple tabs open with the Auction up on all of them. I have pasted what @Solid_Eye said from my post requesting an answer to the question;

There's nothing that says someone cannot have multiple tabs of the backpage open at once. As long as the game is through a web browser I'm not even certain that is something they can do anything about either. Having their own game client may change things on that front, but at the moment, there's nothing to be done about having multiple tabs open on the backpage.

Is there anything further at this point in time?

thats something to try. It's been awhile now that I don't get stopped in the last 15 and below sec. of a auction. Call what you will it runs like a bug or a virus when it stops you everytime at the end of almost every auction. Then thats what it is, that or a very bad writing program.

 

Well I just did 3 hours of Auction (yesterday winning 20 or more items in each of them) I saw the Captcha twice and as long as I stayed in the Auction after the Captcha was accepted I was able to place my Skype bid at the 15 second mark, and again it has just been recently I have even seen the Captcha at all.

 

Only wish I had that time but like I've told support and post here . It always happens in the last 20 to 0 sec. of the auction and it happens more then it doesn't. Then when I start typing it reloads, then I have to start over. Sometimes its almost 5 sec. to reload. Best way is make everyone go thur it to join the auction. That way it stops the chance of stopping you from bidding. As it sits, its just one glich add by BP. One thing for sure it doesn't work right and if it does then it's main purpose was drive players away from the auction.

 

It's most likely because many people try to bid on the same time span (= causing more requests to handle).

 

For the most part this is the time that many people jump in to place their bids. Like I told you before open the page early and place several bids so you get the Captcha and do it then. You can leave the page open and return to it when you want to snipe your bid and not deal with the issue. What you are complaining about is the way this Captcha is programmed into the page and there is an error in the program that is out of D O's control, as it is a third party program (like the Video for action) and they can not fix the broken you just have to know it is going to happen I know it takes 30 seconds for my Captcha to load so I can type the phrase it wants.

I have gone years without seeing this until just recently and have always placed last second bids on items I really wanted but were also highly bid on.

 

I can be on for 5 min. have 15 bids in. that does not matter it only happens in the last 20 to 0 sec. I have never seen it show anyother time but I do see it more then I should ever have to. Make us sign in and fix the issue. If they are paying for this broken program and are not up someones butt about it. Well that does show something about all the gliches in this game. Just saying

 

My issue is, I can refresh my auction page and the refresh is about 10 seconds. I place my bid at 18-19 seconds and it takes about 23 seconds to refresh. The end result is my bid goes on the next hour, which is guaranteed to be outbid. What a joke!

 

Bid on 20 items these can be boosters as at 2 minutes the monsters come in and bid for these. Bid until you see the Captcha, do the Captcha, LEAVE THIS AUCTION OPEN, place another bid at about 30 seconds to refresh the screen then place the bid you want to on the sniper item you want. IF you still get the Captcha at these last 2 bids then you need to NICELY ask support to look at your account as others tell you they are not seeing this happen to them this way.

Like I said I went into the Auction 15 minuted before it ended and placed 30 bids in 2 Auctions seeing the Captcha ONCE and even placed one of the bids in the last 10 seconds of the first Auction and rebid on the next Auction and of the 30 bids I won over 20 of them in each Auction.

Try another Browser or get rid of your wifi connection (use a ethernet cable), I can place a bid at 8 seconds and be on this hours auction, most of the time, I do occasionally have a communication issue and it goes on the next Auction (but this is rare).

 

i use an ethernet cable. i've been using the same bidding method for years. this is only something that recently began occurring. I know all of the tricks. i've been playing this game for over a decade. trust me, i know how to place a bid.

 

I am sorry just gave some options as to what the problem sounded like to me.

 

I'm being stopped from bidding by a robochecking program that doesn't work right. I can live with slowing down do to to many folks. This stops you for more 30 sec. at the end of a auction. so you can't bid at all.

 

The main issue I was pointing out. Is the "Captcha" it shouldn't bother a bidder after the 60 sec. count down. It takes to much time with it's reloading after you start to type the first set of words , so it can load a new set. For me it's almost every auction in the last 30 sec. This is why I posted the issue. it's something that doesn't work and hasn't in months. like so many other gliches in this game. Just like JosephineEarp posted. I've been play a long time use the auction when I'm on. The reason for the post. Was because the issue is escalating not improving.

 

I AGREED with the issue you are having as I have gone years without seeing it and am now starting to see it on every auction (WHEN I FIRST OPEN THE WINDOW) and place my bids, but once I have PASSED I do not see it again for the rest of my bids and that included the next auction IF I had not closed/changed the window in between. This might be a time to try the extra tab exercise also.

I gave you something to try as a work around,

1. BID until you see the Captcha (EARLY),even if it is on items you know a low bid will not win,
2. do the Captcha,
3. leave the window OPEN and then see if you are allowed to SNIPE your bids that you want to, at the last 30 seconds of the Auction.

I am able to do this without any issue.

 

like I have stated before the Captcha doesn't show up till the last 20sec. No matter how long I in the auction or how many bids. sometimes I get a free auction but not every day I see it more then I don't. Never before the last 20sec. of the auction Be nice to see it before that then it wouldn't be an issue. Stopping me from bidding in the last 20sec. Is a bug/glich. Anyone who ever used the auction knows this. If it was a real auction or even Ebay no one would ever go or bid. ? Helpmehelpmey do you work in support? It seems that you give the same advice and refuse to believe that it happens. If one thing is for sure support in this game has never fix and issue. I lost lf4's doring game upgrades, missions that were almost done. Wouldn't complan about that but one I had almost 500 sibs , 150 bsibs and 150 ubersibs. that took for ever. I have no faith anymore in the support group of this game. Just this morning that bug took 40 sec. to load Auction was over for 20 sec. before I could type a word. The thing needs to be fix or removed.

 

No I do not work in SUPPORT, I am a player just like you and can only relay what I get on the 2 servers I play (US2 and US3) and I have reported what I see and what I do. I am sorry it does not fix your issue but like I say I do see the Captcha earlier and once it is completed I do not see it again until I have closed and re-entered into the Auction again.

I personally find that there is a lack of support to the players and in this case recommend using the Discord Channel to try to get a Dev's ear to look into this issue on your account. I bid on every single item in the Auction, last night, with the exception of the single cloak chip and rep-3 bot (Ships and Iris are not visible to me) and even sniped bids up to the last 5 seconds (yes it went on the next hours bid) and again did not see it (but this was US3 0135 LST auction) using Chrome Browser and won 36 of the bids.

TBH I lost faith in them when the Double Uridium for Pet Repairs was MY Fault as I had to have hit the Repair button twice before it activated, but then it is now a glitch they just fixed, go figure it only took 8 years to figure it out. I probably lost 100K in Uridium before I broke down and bought Premium for the FREE PET repairs and that ended that problem. I found that those with the deepest pockets got the attention and those who were FREE Players were pushed aside, even when we outnumbered the wallets 50 to 1, now with all of the MCC and Bully activity it is reversed and about 10 wallets to 1 Free player, but that is what has become of this game, Premium and Doubler should almost be given away since the Botters buy these in Bulk and are allowed to cheat their way to the top of the ranks, I think any player who plays this game (actually plays in the maps not GG's) should receive these each month as a 30th day login Bonus (tie it to the daily quests do all 12 for the entire month and win the advantages) and as a second month incentive you get Rebate added so you do these simple quests every day and you get all 3 advantages every month, after the first month.
