[GI] can i use a rep bot in my drone slots

i put a rep 4 bot in my drone slot it let me but will it do any thing for the drone

 

NO repair bots only repair the ship. The only way to repair the drones is with the drone repair chip (does not always repair them even when equipped) or manually in the Hangar.

 

Although it won't help your drone, it will work for your ship while on a drone slot.

 

The drone slots can be used as Extra Slots for the ship. However, they do only work for the ship. Some of the players use these extra slots for defensive measures, and have the ship for the offensive or have failed to get the Slot 4 CPU and thus use the drones to carry what the ship does not.

I personally find this to be a waste of firepower and shielding as the drones boost both of these when they are equipped on them (I have all of my LF-4's {9} on my drones for this reason). I also know that some players will have one config of their ship with all speed and guns (suicide config) for the purpose of trying to get a quick kill, and when that fails they have the shields on the drones to help them either win the fight or run away to fight again after healing. Some go as far as to TANK their second config, which is all Shields on Ship and Drones, hoping the lasers on their ship will keep them in the fight before their shields fail (usually they SUICIDE for 50% of their health then switch to TANK hoping the fight does not last this long as they now only have the base speed to move with). But every player has to develop their own playing style to get their own level of enjoyment out of the game.

 

OK thanks that pretty much covers what i was seeking i run a suicide with all speed gens and a tank config all shields i use my lf4s on the drones due to i don't have enough to keep the blue lasers like the lf3 does i never run because i keep a premium account so the suicide is to catch the slower players and pop them i don't have any design drones and only one apis so i do get poped a lot well that's all part of the the game thanks for the info
