[GI] Cubikons

Can someone please spend some time and write down what's the MINIMUM requirements for killing a cubikon?

if possible tell me the minimum damage and shield needed, as well as the generators and lazers needed..

 

Without Kami: 12 Lf4 not upgraded, Drones level 11, 9 drones (1 Apis).
One config: All bo2 on ship and 7-8 on drones. Rest lasers.
Second config: 12 bo2 on drones. Speed gens. Rest lasers.

Can also do double tank (which will be easier. But from memory with 12 lf4 you can have a running config).

Tactics:
Shoot cube with x3 using X formation (5% more damage to aliens)
Then once cube starts shooting back switch to sab.
Move around abit to avoid kristallins
Switch to diamond when cube doesn't have any shields
Done

it depends on how you use ur ship, like formations etc... but ive done it with 2 slow tank configs 1 full b02 on ship and lf3's on drones, the other full b02 on ship and 10 on drones the rest lf3. diamond formation the whole way.

 

so overall, you would need to deal around 3000 x1 damage, 500.000 shield (in both formations maybe) and diamond formation to regenerate your shield.

right?

 

Hmm you'll be able to get around 5-6k maybe with sep? You'll definitely need sep. Need to hit around 20k x3. Yeah shields too. Hey if you're in doubt you can ask for an assist from a friend and practice killing the cube. Get your friend to pop the kristallins that gather.

 

i tried to kill a battleray without moving at all, to check my strenght.. my shield run out by the time the battleray's one did too..

in tank config i have 450.000 shield and deal around 3.500 damage x1 (with seprom, no speed gens). I guess i will wait as i still have to do many zeta gates.. i only have 3 havocs.. need 6 more to go full so...(no zeus)

I had this written up a while ago, before the new drone formations came out. It has a good outline for cubing with X1 ammo.

If you have some sab, and follow some of the tips here, you will be fine

You really need at least the Apis drone, and Zeus would help even more.
Here are some pointers:

1. run double tank configs, with 3-4 drones with shields on each side( you want 600-700 k shields per side)..no need for speed, if an enemy comes oh well.
2. have diamond, it is THE most important thing for soloing cubes X1
3. havoks help. ( a rough minimum is 10k on laser damage)
4.you NEED at least the regular boosters from auction (hp, shield , damage), and double boosters are good too, but cost uri.
5. run with pet , kami / have it in guard mode, the 1-2 k damage it hits helps.
6. use 3030's or the strong PLT-2021's (from gate spins, don't buy with uri)...and use the precision targeter too.
7. Stay as far away from cube as possible, you can reduce damage from 18k a second to as little as 7k damage a second...( the side effect is you can't reach with regular missiles, but the trade off in damage is well worth it).
8. have at least a little sab and X2 on hand in case some LBK's find you and add 4k damage a second to you, that adds up, and you might need to speed a cube up some.
9. EXTRA TIP: Start with heart formation for the xtra 10% shielding, let cube hit you for that 10%, be it 50 or 60 or 70k damage, then switch configs while still in heart. THEN after another 60k damage to the second config, switch to diamond, you now have full HP and shields again, since the 10% damage the cube did to you was negated by the 10% heart boost.....This lets you get 10 free seconds of volleys till you start with full hp and shield in diamond config.
EDIT: All this is for a Goli, but Ageis is about the same.....it seems the word around town is the goli is better for cubing. .. good luck.

 

If you want to try Cubes with LCB:
You need ring and diamond formation, 15 shield generators in ship, 8 in drones (so you have around 500K shield in both configuration), damage shield booster, drones (XP-) level 6, Seprom and in bio "Alien hunter", Aegis with Elite design and cool down booster (and of course your strongest Credit ammo)
The Steps:

1. Attack the Cube with ring until both configurations have 500K shield.
2. Switch to Diamond
3. Kill the Cube

 

when i was first realistically able to solo cube with X2 ammo was 10 lf4s rest lf3s double shield just to 500k on shields for max Regen with diamond formation once at 500k rest lasers on drones and start in heart once hp drops below the bonus heart gives diamond the rest of way both configs. this was before the ring and drill formation now much easier then back then but if your limited this works well if slow.

 

all forgot this - what ship we need for this easy is whit aegis - good formacione is ... 50 % more rokets dmg whit 3030 whit htech ... minimum 20 k dmg whit lassers and easy /30 lasers and all bo2 in ship ...if you have pet - use ... he help a lot ...(10 k from my pet but is elite )
