[GI] Damage to drones

Drones were at 50% damage. Got popped , drones went to 52 % damage ; got popped again , drones went to 55% damage. Why the 1% difference between the two events?

 

The damage your drones take when you are destroyed varies. Pretty sure it's just random from a few possible values.

 

I think it has something to do with the rounding. Unfortunately we are only going to see a 2 digit percentage. That said, the rounding will only come into play with what we are shown. The actual percentage is kept up with and when you pop again is significant enough to take it a 3rd percentage point with what we see. These are things tat would be good for DO to actually let us know about but in absence of the notification we can get to where we know where we stand. I have been at 99% before when I checked my damage level. I normally repair at 95-97%. I need all my credits for upgrades, ahem, when they have upgrade hour, so repair as sparingly as possible.

 

Actually when a drone was destroyed for a first time the damage counter will start with 2% then if destroyed again for the 2nd time it will add 3% for a total of 5% then for the 3rd time it will add another 2% for a total of 7% and so on. Counting of this, drones have 40 lives (initial life when acquired /0% destruction up to 39th destruction/ 97% destruction). When your drone was destroyed for the 40th time and reach 100% destruction it will be permanently destroyed and you need to acquire another to replace it. Repairing a drone will make the destruction counter to be reset again to 0% however will reduce your drone's level by 1 (e.g. level 6 drone with 97% destruction when repaired will be level 5 drone with 0% destruction). Note that your drone's upgrade level will not change if you repair the drone as upgrade level is different with drone level.

So the reason why your drone's destruction % was changed from 52% to 55% is that you were popped for the 22nd time and add a 3% damage. So your drone still has 17 lives before it will be completely destroyed, so you must repair it before that time.

 

OK TY I am aware of the overall repair needs and down grading of drone lvl. also wait until approx. 95-97% before repairing.
