[GI] drone repair level

Hi all,

I have a question about drone repairs.
I know that every repair will drop the drone level.
But what if my drones again reach level 1 and I repair em? Will they be destroyed or is it not possible to repair em?

Your drones should level up to lv. 6 and at lv.6, when they receive 80-90% damage repair them and they will go down only one lv.

 

Drones require to be used in PvE etc to lvl up and I suppose if they are damaged continuously without sufficient time to lvl them this could happen... I personally have a drone Rep Chip in both of my configs on any ship I run... maybe in the short term you should do the same as me as I dont know how to reply tbh.. maybe someone could confirm with certainty

I guessed as much but I could not state as a fact not having been to that point since I lost 4 Iris 5 years ago(when they were still costly on our server)

My worry is that this question is borne of the spam killing on certain servers by certain players which has become prevalent over the last couple years..

I dont rep them all at the same time as then I could potentially lose them all at the same time... I rep 2 at a time with 10-15% difference in their damage...

 

when repair your done after it become lvl 1 again you wont lose it and it will stay lvl 1
but drone will lvl up automatically when u kill stuffs, so , after drone become lvl 6 it hardly goes to lvl 1 again
i will recommend you to lvl up your drone to lvl 6 again by killing npcs after repairing them as drone lvl increases damage or shield strength whichever up have put in your drone

I repair my drones at 50%.
I repair all drones at the same time and avoid conflict until they are all repaired.
I do NOT trust the repair chip.

 

It takes quite a bit of time for a repaired drone to accumulate the damage needed to have to repair it again. Usually you will only have to repair them one time and that will drop from level 6 to 5 and will again level up to 6 before it has to be repaired again.

At 50% is a little quick but even here they should be level 6 again. May I suggest waiting till 75%, this is well below the possibility of losing them and gives you some extra boosts for a little longer getting that extra 25%.

I have heard that the Rep CPU does not always save your drones, it glitches out some times, so it is suggested to keep an eye on the damage of the drones as if they have not been repaired by 90% there is a possibility they will go poof with the correct kill form a UFE player.

Repairing 1-2 at a time is a good suggestion and 10-15% damage differential would allow you to keep this cycle running for a long time and not have more than 3-4 that are not level 6 at any one time.

 

well i also repair my drone manually when it reaches 70% and as HelpMeHelpYou said drone repair CPU always doesn't work . sometime during worst times drone does reaches to lvl 4 when i get killed alot but never reached bellow that. AND i think keeping all drone at same dmg is better as you wont have to repair them everyday

 

No.. but some very good advice has been brought forward here. Very important if you have iris and or apis and zeus drones put a drone repair CPU on each config.

Keep an eye on your drone damage level and it's best to repair them once they reach my personal max 90%.

To say the least I was saddened.
I contemplated leaving the game for good. But I'm a long time Dark Orbit fan so I bought them all back.

In 2014 I lost them all again and this time they where all level 16 upgraded

Purchased a million uriz and here we go again lol

During both of these experiences I was in contact with support asking to get them back. Because I was pretty sure they had not actually reached 100% damage, last I looked on the first time they where 85% and around the same on the second catastrophic event.

They simply responded " there was no drone repair cpu installed " if there had been we would be able to help you even if the cpu failed.​

Install the "Drone Repair CPU".

We get busy in the game, killing being killed. Sometimes so busy we loose track of where we are, it is at that moment BOOM Stuff happens.

thanks all of you for reply and advises. To be honest I don´t really enjoy to be poped by million times higher level player, but its DO so I have to accept it. So if I can keep my drones running even at level 1 if Ill be repairing em just in time its a good new. I am not a PvP player and never will be, so I do not fight if someone attacks... trying to escape but mostly no luck so therefore I was asking. Since I have all drones upgraded to 16 I do not have a wish to do it again .
