[GI] Havocs Give a 20% Damage Increase....?

So recently, I've yet again been intrigued about the Havoc drone design, and it's purpose of giving a 20% damage increase (assuming you have your drones up to level 6) to your laser damage.

However, I decided to test the Havoc drone design again, prior to a year of my previous test, and I noticed that upon unequipping my Havocs on all of my 10 level 6 drones, that my damage did not change whatsoever.

So, my question on this post?-are the Havocs a nice red paint job to your drones(providing no bonuses), or are they just simply not working? Or am I just not using them correctly, assuming I need to put out a specific amount of damage to put that 20% in effect?

 

With your drones at the "normal" level 6 (points & leveling from popping NPCs & players), it provides a 10% damage boost / 20% shield boost for the cannon/shield on that drone. Having all Havocs on will give the lasers an extra 10% boost, so it'll show as "20%/20%"

Without All Havocs
-Only normal drone boost

With All Havocs
-10% EXTRA from Havoc

The boost is quite small, and you won't notice it, unless you deal a lot of damage already.

 

Okay, I was mistaken. A 10% increase rather than a 20%. I understand now.

However, I said my damage did not change whatsoever. I would notice a 10% increase on laser damage, given that I can notice the damage increase on a 5% damage increase ship design, such as the Venom, Diminisher, etc.

So either way, 10% or 20%, there should be a damage boost. But, when I tested it, my damage did not change whatsoever.

So in conclusion, regarding the correction by KilerSteak, I am still missing my damage increase from Havocs.

 

One more thing to note is that the 10% damage increase only affects the lasers on the drones, meaning that the TOTAL damage you deal would increase even slightly less(6-7% as a rough estimation). As for them not providing ANY boost, well I cant test that myself as I have yet to fully complete my havoc set

 

I'll test it out later today. And make sure you didn't change anything else during your own test (formations, designs, etc).

 

its 10% the problem is the mre lasers u have on the better if u have less then 10 lasers on drones u wont even notice the differences but in any case the design is more for look the drill you can see the differences but the havocks eh not really its there but not really lol also have to keep on mind your drones are all lv 16 too.

 

°™·°·L♦V♦L♦2♦3·°·™°, During your tests, are you using the exact same configs? (Including drone formations) The difference in damage may be within the margin of the hit/miss ratio as well. You may need to perform a more extensive battery of test to see if the damage max is indeed the same regardless of the drone design.

I tested it again on the samea ccount and another, there is no difference at all.

 

Alright, I'm replying to this thread once more since today I managed to finish my havoc set so here's what I got:
After equipping all of my drones with havoc designs I went to test if my damage had changed at all, and unsurprisingly I noticed a roughly 7-8% increase in my laser damage, which was to be expected since all of my LF4s are equipped on my drones and about 75% of my total damage comes from the drones; To sum it all up - for me personally havocs seem to be working just as they should be

The bonus is alot different from a normal booster I think its bc the havocks directly increase the damages from the drones.
