[GI] How do I delete clan leader

Here's the situation:
1: Founding date:16.07.2009
2: Clan leader inactive for so long that when I try to send a message this is the System Message
response [ This user isn't a member of your clan. ]
3: A search for the Clan Owner is so old his user name does not appear: user not found nor can I find his user name in the experience ranking . I have his email and sent message after message but no response. He has been absent for so long.
4 The clan rank is currently 106th with 16 members and alot of members have been leaving lately not seeing an active Clan Leader . Changes need to be made and I do have ALL permissions settings as co-leader but I don't have the control panel in order to revitalize the Clan Tag .
5: his dumpy little ship can sit inactive . I just don't need an inactive clan leader/owner blocking
improvements to this " Old School " clan .
6: I have almost 6 thousand hrs with this clan , even build a FB page for this clan years ago to show off images and discuss strategies .

any insight would be appreciated . I left the clans name out deliberately

 

After searching through the forum it seems support might be able to transfer clan leadership to the original founder of the clan(if they are still in the clan)*. But other than that not sure what the chances is that the clan leadership could just be transferred to anyone, at least from past posts on the forum it doesn't seem possible.

Though you are a "co-leader" maybe it could be transferred to you, although maybe it has to be the creator of the clan and not possible for anyone else. I don't know of anything else but maybe someone else knows of certain situations it is possible to transfer leadership, or if how this kind of situation is handled has changed or not.


*As in the player that created the clan and of course if they aren't already the current clan leader... Also I say "still in the clan" but not sure if it matters if they have been in it for a long time or if they have just recently joined back, aka the specifics.

 

Sounds like they maybe busy or just don't want to play anymore the best thing to do if you have 16 members still is to make your own clan and start again and see if you can bring those members with you. Is good to change things in the game to keep it interesting anyways. Enjoy

 

I was in a clan that was a original clan on USA West server that clan leader went inactive we all voted on a new clan leader then support changed the clan leader for us it was a mess to fix but it can be fixed.

 

The founding date of a clan is an important thing.

My suggestion is to post a thread in the "Chat" section of this forum and ask if Solid Eye or Deter can assist you with this problem.

As you've mentioned you have tons of invested hours into the clan and to me it would be a shame to have to start over.

I'm fairly sure they can help and I've had very good experiences with both of the above mentioned Admins.

The chat section is private, no-one else will see your post accept for the admin team.

I had that problem a few years back and once I requested intervention by support, their investigation showed my request had merit. The clan leadership was transferred to me and the original founder was left in place.
I believe that there was a text line in the reply from support that they would do this only once and with the understanding that it would not be done again for that clan. As per above, it would be given the recommendation of having to form a different clan.
