[GI] Indoctrine oil

Hey! I was just wondering if someone could clearify this for me. What ways are there to get this new indoctrine oil? I've searched around a lot of forums and faq's but haven't found a clear explanation on this (didn't feel that way atleast)

Any help is appreciated ;-)

 

Typically whenever there is a new event there's some kind of way to obtain it (right now the solar calendar has 4 days on it that offer a bit of oil), apart from that, the permanent source of oil is the Quarantine Zone (a group gate in x-7 maps)

You can obtain Indoctrine oil from Quarantine Zone completing the gate reward, event missions, special events. To get access to the Quarantine Zone you need Immunizer CPU and you can craft it in the assembly after collecting 30 Hybrid alloy from the Blighted Gygerthrall.

Also, how much does boosters increase your probability of getting this oil? in shop, PCB-BOO says it increases chances by 20%, but on forum " http://www.bigpoint.com/darkorbit/board/threads/booster-faq.798/ " it says this booster increases chances by 50% and lasts for 3 hours, not just one hour. Am I looking at the wrong booster? Please clarify!

The booster you can buy with Uridium is just as described*, I think it is just a matter of it is not listed/specified on the FAQ. The boosters the FAQ is describing are the ones you can buy via payment, from "Extras" in the "Shop" called "RW-BST"(should be at the top):




*I also double checked to make sure, since I remember at least initially when they were implemented it wasn't as described(duration) but it is now. (well as for the percentage that's not as easy to be sure of, but I'd assume it is what it says)

Thank you again for your assistans. I am a bit confused though.. What you are saying and what is described in the FAQ doesn't add up.

In the FAQ, I can see two boosters of this kind (boosting your chances of hybrid alloy and indoctrine oil) one which has a 50% boost, and the other one a 100% boost. Both last 3 hours, not 1. There also seems to be an additional one boosting these already existing effects even further?

The one I see in the shop doesn't seem to be mentioned in the FAQ. Also the boost seem to be at only 20%, with 1 hour last.

Am I reading the wrong FAQ, or has there been a mistake?

I do apologise for late response, lets clarify those boosters for you, Special Benefit Booster that you can purchase by real money double your drope rate of hybrid alloy and indoctrine oil for 3 hours, Special Probability Booster give you extra 50% drop rate chance of Hybrid Alloy and Indoctrine Oil for 3 hours and Special Combo Booster gives you both double drop and 50% extra drop rate for 3 hours. The booster PRC-B00 for 10,000 uridium gives you only 20% extra drop rate of hybrid alloy and indoctrine oil for 1 hour, if you purchase boosters with money and uridium it will added up the percentage which will be 70% chance of drop.

I will make sure FAQ is up to dated with the boosters.

Last question - when can I get these boosters/how much do they cost? Is it on special events only?

There is no time limit for those boosters as they were added with Quarantine Zone gate / event. This gate is permament feature and as I'm aware boosters shouldn't be removed. To obtain these boosters visit home page go to shop/extras and click on Special New Boosters! To buy with uridium visit Boosters and scroll down till you find PRC-B00

Ok last one haha sorry, is the "Special Combo Booster" simply both boosters combined? or is it a third stackable booster?

If you buy the "Special Combo Booster" you are simply just buying both of the boosters at once(aka it's not a different booster/s). Except they last for 4 hours instead of 3 hours, for pretty much the same price as if you had just bought the boosters individually*.

*Well at least for me(UK/£) it is just a 1p/£0.01 price difference lol.
